Harlequin duck - or have I just invented this?
No there is a Harlequin duck so you haven't made it up but this is a male mandarin duck on a lake nearby. The female is a rather drab brown/speckled colour:(

I'll mention, whilst I'm now here (very briefly), that the M list is updated from Wednesday/Thursday (it has been for several hours already)* so, as usual, there are lots of good things that I haven't posted about so it's all on page 1 for you to familiarise yourself with the bold items. Until I add yet more again - I may, indeed, be adding more on Sunday as I'm supposed to be going out again today:rotfl:. Surely, by now, I have got everything?

    [...]

Er, no:rotfl:. Which I'm sure you already knew if I've just visited your M - as you can see that there are lots of items there that are not on my list! I've now got absolutely loads of new items to add to the list, as a result of going to some more stores. And they're not really price changes - I've only got about three of those - but additional items. Including one item that was, maybe, wrongly deleted from the list over six months ago after it disappeared from my last nearby store (in fact I only really had it in one store) - and going out to - was it upwards of forty separate stores in two 'waves' earlier this year? - did not turn it up.

Yet again some changes to my view on some items - some items weren't found in five stores and waited until the final one on Monday - but they were in nearly every store for me yesterday:rotfl:. An item that, earlier this year, took me a significant amount of stores to find again and I have previously only ever seen it in a single store on a trip out, has now turned up in three:huh: additional stores. Items that are around more than I thought - and I've had the weird, exotic ranges of items that I rarely see now being in two separate stores on the same day! Then again, if they were my nearby stores, those ranges wouldn't be 'exotic' for me at all but would be regular. So, I saw items I don't regularly see but I didn't see several items that I regularly have:rotfl:.

There are at least four ranges of products on which my list, at the moment, is incomplete. I have found some of the missing items that I suspected M might have - and of course M has everything at one of its stores or another:rotfl: - I have nearly found one item (got a different version that suggests it is almost bound to be available in some M) but there are a couple of items - I'm not talking about the long-lost RTCs - that have not returned for me yet - although, having said that, with the RTCs, I now have one item that I only had in a single store months ago for one week on its RTC and then disappeared - I will be confirming that, indeed, it was still available on the RTC in M as of yesterday, available for purchase and in stock.

In fact, I've got more from these stores than I even had on the 6-store check on Monday. More items yesterday than even the changes on Monday! Indeed probably more than I've ever had - I had six sides of paper to update from on Monday, only two sides on Wednesday and, from yesterday, I've got ten sides of paper:eek::eek::rotfl:. Some of the items will duplicate what I've already got - as I can't always remember whether I have an item already so I take its information just to be sure that I have got it. I've definitely added more beyond the range I had before though.

I will update the list over time - my nearby stores won't have some of the items for rechecking anyway. In fact, I'm thinking whether to call off Monday this week and just do the collection on Wednesday - will give me some time to update and, to some extent, the list is going to be partially updated anyway.

The first store I went yesterday didn't give me as much as the others, but it gave me at least one vital item that I would not know about from elsewhere! The other stores added more at each one - and, yet again, it was another round of additional items at every store like last time I went out. I've seen products that M has that I have never seen before, despite visiting around 100 stores previously and never coming across them. I've now found quite a few that I suspected existed but I had not found before. I will draw attention later to what I have been able to fill in that have completed the range for me, although, in some cases, though I've added more, I still suspect the range I have is incomplete. Some items are around more than I thought, but I've added further items to the incomplete range I found in a store before (that, for me, had the rare items - but, it turns out, not all of them) - and I think that, with the additional items now from this new store, I suspect what I now have is incomplete and that there are further items that I still have not had. The additional items seem to imply others that might exist, although, if so - and I think they probably do exist! - I have yet to find them:rotfl:.

There you are you see - me saying I don't know whether M has another version but I suspect they might have when of course, the people who shop at one of the stores I've now visited had them full well in their M all along and could just sit back and grin, knowing that they had the item I had not found, and watching me being incomplete until I now find it:rotfl:.

I've seen items that I've never seen instore before but previously had to rely on online to tell me of their prices and, indeed, their existence. (I've asked before about whether anyone did have such-and-such an item in their M. I could only find it online but in no store whatsoever that I ever visited. No-one, however, here ever told me that they did have it in their M. Indeed, I suspect very few people's Ms have them - given how many stores I've been to that have had no trace - albeit that I still haven't got out to some regions, notably Scotland - and southern England where these products could well be. They are not regional products however.) I have now seen them in a store - although it's taken me years before I have managed to visit a store which has them at any time when I've visited. They're not on an offer price at the moment though, so they won't be going back onto the list just yet!

I'll see you later. The three spare posts I left last time might turn out to have been a bit pessimistic:rotfl:. I may have no trouble running out of space:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - however I am also hoping to get rid of some stuff that's clogging up the list and I'm not seeing anywhere at all now - although I guess that I would be deleting someone else's items just because I have found them nowhere now and have not been to the stores where they still are, and that those would then become 'additional items that I don't already have' to be found at those stores next time:rotfl:.

Anyway, lots of more information to report when I get chance. I'll see you later - bye for now!

So I might give Monday a miss - has anyone got any views on whether they think I should go out on Monday or not? I'm sort of thinking whether to do so or whether it may be better to update fully (over time) what I now have, rather than going out and doing a full price collection on Monday only to have to do that all again two days later. So, the list might be a little bit out of date as regards any new offers until Thursday/Friday next week and of course I will miss loads on Monday by not going out:rotfl:. M is always bound to be having a two-day sale on Monday and Tuesday on some items if I don't go until Wednesday:rotfl::rotfl:. Nonetheless, I might call off Monday this time. If anyone desperately does want me to go on Monday, I'll think about it, it's not a problem, and I might go anyway - but possibly - I'm 50:50 in these circumstances - I might not bother with it and may just go on the Wednesday this time - although I haven't yet made a decision about Monday. I don't think much will be lost if I don't bother? I know we have this brand new thread, with my lists on page 1, and they'll be out of date for a few days but I think we can cope with that.

Good evening everybody, I hope you are well from a womble

    AvM

    1x Guinness Dublin Porter (500ML) £1.80 £1.00

I would have thought there wouldn't be any problem on this item, as it's available in every M I see. I did find a single store that had full price SELs on the £1 alcohols - it had full price and expensive mbuy on the other ones that were that but, of the ones that are now £1, had straight full price on the SELs for those - although it did have the drinks out elsewhere with offer cards up (but APG would check main aisle stock - full price). However, that was the only store I've had, out of now 22 separate stores, and all other 21 I've seen have £1 on the SELs. Nonetheless, of course, even where I've seen consistent offer prices before, the APG has managed not to work. (I don't keep a running tally on what number of stores are showing for each item - however, as far as I remember, I've looked on the alcohol aisle (and every aisle!) in each of the stores I've been to and I think they were all showing £1 except for the one. I you leave me a few moments, I'll probably remember which store was the errant one for me:rotfl:.)

Elsewhere though, although I note this did work on the APG recently, I would be surprised if the Savers Tomato tins mbuy was not coming down to a tie on the pricing collected (full price vs mbuy show) from their different stores and only just picking up the mbuy. I have so many stores now not displaying any mbuy on them (I know they are on mbuy)! In fact, the majority of stores I saw on Sunday were no mbuy show. Out of 30 recent Ms, they are generally not showing the mbuy. (The fewer that show it show it on both, the ones (more of them for me!) that are no-show are not showing it on either of the two products.) This is not of concern as long as the APG is still getting at least half its stores with the mbuy and if it is still picking that up.

The M Apple tins, at 50p in M, are not giving me as much concern as before - I have two of my nearby stores that, until recently, were showing full price SEL - so it looks like the issue was mainly just my regulars - and, when I was checking 3 of my regular stores on a collection day, and having two at 62p and one at correct price 50p, of course I had a concern. However, more widespread is the 50p correct price, judging by the other stores (and more of them) that I've seen on Saturday - and also the 6 stores (away from me) that I saw on Monday last week, more Ms seem to be displaying the right price. One of mine has also now, finally:(, put the 50p price on the shelf - after my encouragement got them to put up two SELs for 62p at one stage - but now they have gone:j and - at last!:D - they have 50p on the shelf although they were OOS:( when I checked on Wednesday.

1x ASDA Extra Special Mainbrace India Premium Pale Ale (500ML) £1.80 N/A
    1x St Austell Brewery Tribute Ale (500ML) £1.80 £1.65
1x ASDA Extra Special Premium Golden Ale (500ML) £1.80 N/A

    A v M
    4 For £5 on receipt

trigger is shepherds neame whitstable bay pale ale
    bar code 5012686077479
    (not the organic one)

so 3 of the dublin porter and one shepherds neame should return £2.70 on £5 spend

There are other alcohol bottles that, as long as they aren't invisible triggers themselves, are at £1 in M.

Again, I don't envisage any issue as I have correct SELs for them very widespread. They are on the M list and may be helpful in reaching the 8 item minimum although, formally, no guarantees yet on anything except the Dublin Porters. (The Dublin Porters, I think we can see that they "will" work, as long as the womble showing that item working is the current price collection which isn't supposed to update until at least Tuesday.)

Obviously it should be M at 3x £1.00 if you are buying three with a trigger:rotfl:.

I could turn up anywhere:rotfl:. I was in Peterborough earlier, but only managed to make one of your Ms, so were you in the right one to see me?:D Your M though, if that's yours, did give me some useful information - as indeed every one of the stores I visited gave me some more. It's the M at Stamford, Lincolnshire though that has got, as of yesterday, a number of JFs and some L'Oreal Colour conditioner (700ml!) - and similar products - at quite low prices for that type of product! On reduction shelf area around the shampoos/medicines aisle etc. I'll mention more elsewhere later (as and when I get to it).

    See you later:wave:.

However, that will be put right over the next few days and then the lists will be [Strike]excellent once more[/Strike] less inadequate than what they currently are:):rotfl:.
