I have collected my CIC and received the APG, but am feeling a little guilty. :o:D :T :rotfl:

It is the first CIC I have done since the man with a van has been replaced with metal boxes. I collected the shopping, 8 razors has been subbed so I needed to reject them but did not have any idea how.

I rang the number, and was told to put them back in the cupboard and log them as rejected on the computer (but both had closed) so I was told to take them to customer services... I had a little moan about time and messing around and plodded across the carpark.

The CS lady was lovely, she explained that the office had rang her and told her I was going and what to do. I smiled sweetly as she refunded me the full price of the razors which was more than my full shop!

When I got home I realised that my 2 razors that had not been subbed had morphed into 8, and my broccoli had morphed from one pack to two.... and now I have an APG.

Rough maths is less than £10 spend I have more than £100 in refund/APG.

Thanks, i must have missed that he was trying them
Yes I did mean the blades, not the razor. Sorry to have dashed off after posting but we were out last night for a very unMSE curry.

I hope I can return them ok as the SA cut off some of the packaging to get the security tag off:eek:

Was going to catch up now, but have an unexpected visitor.

The crisps are in the bag:rotfl::rotfl:

Look at the size of my sweet potato! Cost only 39p. On offer in Lidl for 59p a kilo:T

Just had a bowlful of the balsamic crisps for research purposes only and they are very nice :)

With potatoes now being generally back at regular prices, I was going to add M's Wonky Potatoes (2.5Kg) at £1.12 to my list. I think the potatoes are different sizes but they seem fine to me and I can't tell any difference between them and regular ones. There were some 5Kg potatoes in Aldi at £2.24, so exactly the same price:wall:. Lidl had some 7.5Kg potatoes at £3.36 but I now understand they have increased to £3.50, so I am not sure whether Aldi's potatoes have risen as a result - if they have, they will either be technically cheaper by a fraction of a penny or technically very slightly more expensive as 7.5Kg to 5Kg works out to a third of a penny. On old prices that were surprise surprise exactly the same price, I was preferring M's 2.5Kg due to buying as little as possible:money:.

I have decided to go for the 12.5Kg M Unwashed Potatoes however. Even at £5:eek:, they technically work out cheaper (apart from the 'cost' of washing them). However, I am not buying them at £5 - I've decided that, as long as we don't have 29p prices for 2.5Kg again, the best option is 12.5Kg potatoes on store specific reduction bought on their BB date. They will obviously be haphazard and depend on if yon can come across any in your M(s) but they will be around somewhere - I saw one store the other day with BB dates of 25th and 26th February so that's inevitably going to go cheaper if they are not sold. Hopefully, no-one will buy them with them being £5 and eventually allow the stock to become older and then have to go at much cheaper price.

So, I have been looking in stores whilst I've been around. I was originally offered a price of £3.57:eek: at one store, which I ignored, but later I managed to find some at £2.50:T. I had only just gone back into the store as well having remembered that I should look to see if there were any reduced potatoes:T:T. Yes, it requires me to remember:eek:! Whilst a bit more than the old £2 offers (that may well not return due to their price having gone to £5), it is a lot better than the £5 price. It does make sense to get 12.5Kg potatoes for £2.50 for an extra 26p instead of 5Kg at £2.24 and they last ages in the fridge. Unless any better offers come along, I will start looking again from about a week before I'm due to run out of the potatoes I've now got. Hopefully, fairly cheaper potatoes than the usual 2.5Kg etc. bags from now on.

It'll be my luck to find some even cheaper at my next store:(. However, I did not:cool:. I have done that before though - I found (and bought) some store-specific Crunchie funsize bags at 69p each a few weeks ago, only to find some at 50p on my visits more recently. As I still had the earlier Crunchies stored, it would have been better to have not bought them. I can say that I do stand a lot more chance of finding some potatoes due to visiting more stores and you won't find them everywhere - it'll be if you happen to come across them in your store but, with various BB dates expiring all over the country, I suspect there will be some somewhere at any time.
