    Good morning

Hope everyone has a good day what ever they are doing :)

Today consists of me waiting in for a delivery , my ds will be 18 on Saturday  how did he get to that age so quick! Anyway we have bought him some new wheels for his car and they are coming today then I need to get them booked in . Unfortunatley for him he will be stuck on a coach for the most of his birthday as he is returning from Italy skiing although he only managed three days skiing as he hit a bump and went flying and ended up in hospital, thankfully no breaks this time

If anyone has any good keepsake ideas for a 18th birthday I would like to hear them :D
I have had him a book made by the Book of everyone which is good but would like to get something else :)

For eldest sons 18th we got him an ipod directly from Apple with an engraving on - like "with love from mum and dad on your 18th" - cost a fortune (remember this was in the olden times when such things were The In Thing about 10 years ago)
He was using it at work a few months later and he dropped it in a bucket of bleach so that was the end of it

(yes he has always been more trouble than he is worth and he has not got much better now :D )

Also when he was about to start his first posting we got him a silver St Christopher - the patron saint of travellers - I thought that it might be a idea for your Ds for his 18th - possibly an ironic gift as he has already got himself into strife in Italy skiing :rotfl:

    Morning all.

I've been left in charge of the asylum today :( as OH is back very late - which idiot organises meetings at 3 in the afternoon an hour and a half from home ...

So I've got to start a clean down as we have an overnight guest (at least he gave us notice this time) I am also in charge today of the manly jobs - lighting the fire, filling the coal bucket and starting a roast pork dinner :D.

Also I am trying to organise the parcelling up of birthday presents although I've no idea how I am going to get the parcel to look presentable or how I am going to get them to the post office unless the overnight guest arrives earlier and goes for me. I don't even really know where I am sending it to so I need to check this as well.

This lead me to starting some decluttering as I was horrified by the assorted odds and ends at the bottom of the wardrobe and in the bedroom trunk so several charity bags and boxes will be filled before lunch.

What has put me in a fowl mood though is changing a single bed which fought back - 4 times the duvet cover managed to go on inside out and I had to start again :( I've also finally realised that I've been struggling with Ikea single sheets for boys beds for 2 decades and they just don't fit normal sized single beds - how dense am I  So 2 sheets now on their final wash and new sheet just slid on the sheet almost by itself :D

I will be back later when I have stopped being in such a stropp :)

  • Morning Everyone,
I am thinking of using Shopmium and I have not used them before can anyone tell me how good they are at paying out and if you have to have a certain amount in your account before they pay out?
    Many thanks.
Hope everyone is having a good day.
