Only used half the head of broccoli for tea.

Might put the other half on ebay:rotfl::rotfl:
Man behind me in S this morning had five lettuces and a cucumber. The rest of his shop was processed junk and he didn't look like he'd eaten a salad in his life. It did make me wonder what he was going to do with them :D

Also if you have some time, some stores sell exdisplay off cheaply.
And, ahem, if they have a dent in a place you won't see it when you fit it, you can probably negotiate a further reduction.

John Lewis is good for this. Ours has a "managers specials" corner where they have things like returns from picky customers due to a minute scratch, items without boxes for whatever reason etc. We got a really good deal on a Siemens washing machine a few years ago. Failing that, definitely ao.com and don't forget tcb/quidco.

I also could not find anything by googling - we have been up in York the last few days, only went as far as the outer ring road, thankfully didnt get onto the A19 ...

Tough love.....it's hard but it works. Pass the responsibility back to DS and he will learn.

I think it's doubly difficult when you are so careful watching your pennies and others are undoing all your good work.

You might not believe it now Sarah....but children do eventually mature.:o
