I will nag you all to start your tax returns in May/June. If you do it as soon as you can
    - if you have tax to pay you will know the amount and will have plenty of time to make sure you have the money available
    - if you are due a refund you will receive it in about five working days. Whose bank account would you rather this money was in?
    :)

Yes please put it in your diary to give us all a nudge. We never get a refund and our bill is more or less the same but I don't want to feel that panic again at the end of Jan.....what with dry January, Frugal January and starting a diet......it's too stressful:rotfl:

oooh are you sharing your pictures :D if you wanted to register for the big garden birdwatch you could still do it on line.
Yesterday I was watching robin's, blackbirds, goldfinches, chaffinches, doves, a woodpigeon, blue & great tits, a wren....you name it it was there....unless you say woodpecker..... tomorrow morning when I do my hour I can guarantee there'll be nothing but dunnocks :rotfl:

I've tried to register for the Big Garden Birdwatch but they sent me an email saying that they've heard all about me......and besides ducks are disqualified:o

I'll try and upload a pic but I've got a busy day today so it'll beat some point today!
Good morning all, a lot milder here today :)

We don't get much very interesting in our garden birdwise, tends to be blackbirds, wrens and pigeons. We have had the occasional woodpecker, we get a jay early in the morning (they love fatballs) and we get the odd song thrush and a few goldfinches. I think our main problem is that we live very close to woodland etc so they have plenty of other places to go. That and the neighbourhood cats

Most unusual I've had up to now is a sparrowhawk. My cat has been staying in a lot lately so the birds have been safe :rotfl:

We did have a sparrowhawk down a pigeon in the back garden once, took ages to get rid of the feathers
