Like it here too. Go to the one at Turkey Lake Road (not sure where any others are) and there meals to go/salad bar are fantastic. Only problem is, there are always tastings and I end up not buying the meals. Wine range was fairly deent as well.

    turkey lake road...that's the one!

I used to love sitting outside at the Barneys next door too with a cake and drink (but last year it had closed down)...the supermarket have now taken over the outside space and made it a lovely alfresco place to eat what you buy inside.

OH got a lights violation when driving along TLR last year ....had to pay the $12 admin fee from the rental company but we have never received the $268 fine that should have gone with running the red light(or not yielding it)....been just over a year so I wonder if perhaps they don't persue non nationals....I guess we will find out when we return...perhaps he's now on the data base of the most wanted and when they check his fingerprints and retina's he will be exposed!

MKS...perhaps we should share holidays next time...you seem to frequent or at least know of all our haunts!!!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

Have also been lucky to get some good discounts. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hedged my bets for next week but just received the first of two claims for car hire, so am a happy bunny.:D

    Dear MKS

After review of your claim, in this instance, we agree that you do have a valid claim and therefore we will refund double the difference of £216.14.

As per the terms and conditions of the offer, this will be processed after you have rented.

In order for us to issue the refund, we will need you to contact us again after the rental has finished quoting your rental agreement number along with your claim reference (stated above).

We do genuinely attempt to offer the best possible value car rental and will be passing on the details you supplied to our pricing department.

We would like to thank you for choosing xxxxxx

Took a gamble on Hermes not coming yet and nipped to little T for milk.

I'd just missed the Jelly Tots tubes at 25p but was in time for the coins 18p and 75% off Dr O's squirty choc cupcake topping, so 49p.
Didn't get vanilla as it was 95p, though that was also 75% off a start price of 3.90. Who pays 3.90 for an aerosol that, according to the container, only covers 8 cupcakes?????? And why is vanilla double the price of the chocolate?

They had some portable fan heaters £5 down from £10, and boxes of 40 Walkers crisps £4.

It's freezing cold but gloriously clear and sunny. Bought my first daffodils of 2017. :D
