  • But AJ, if you have been collecting them for the design, did you ever intend to spend them? You might be able to find a numismatist desperate for the coins you have once the £1 coin ceases to be legal tender.

    But AJ, if you have been collecting them for the design, did you ever intend to spend them? You might be able to find a numismatist desperate for the coins you have once the £1 coin ceases to be legal tender.

    Yes, we've collected them for the designs, no we were going to keep them in our collection. It's shocking :eek: the amount of money we have locked away here because they are part of or are a collection. Some we have a few of, like the 50p pieces. We have the sets x 3 plus spares.

    I am ashamed to say that DH is now collecting the £5 notes, please don't ask :o

    Just realised I forgot to look at the serial nos of the last couple of new £5 notes I've had to see if they were those valuable ones the artist did something to. :o

    I only spent one in Ts this morning.
