Advice please.
I am going through ebay to the Argos shop and I have something sitting in the basket ready to check out which is £3.99.
I've clicked for collect in store and its one of those items that is ready for collection right now.
I've also got £40 which I converted from nectar before Christmas (failed attempt to buy something, very long tedious story involving 50p)
but it wont let me check out using my nectar £40 credit as it says I have to have at least £10 - very annoying. Needless to say I am trying not to spend £10 on needless things only £3.99 ...
Is there an obvious answer to this conundrum I am missing ....“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

dont know anything about the recycling bit though
The recycling bit is a real problem though -we really need a sort out of the pan drawer but don't really want to take them up to the tip for landfill - not quite good enough even for Freecycling. I know some people would use them as planters but our garden in winter looks like a junk yard as it is ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. From my experience, prepare yourself for hassle and you will earn the £150 (yet to be received!). I signed up in summer 2015 - heard nothing, then in early 2016 I complained and received compensation equivalent to the switching bonus
.
I signed up again online at the end of October, application process stalled on the third stage online saying they would be in touch. Over 2 weeks later, they wrote saying they had received my application and needed me to go into a branch with proof of ID (why, when they would have run a credit search ... and would have spotted the FD mortgage and account, and M&S account, I do not know ). I had to go to branch twice - because they didn't accept a print out of an online utility bill (even though I have few paper based communication any more!),
Three weeks after going into branch, I received a letter saying I had been accepted. A few weeks after that, a card came through. A week after that, the welcome pack. My account finally switched between Christmas and New Year and the regular saver set up.
I have earned this switch bonus more than any other - assuming it pays out!
Contrast this with BoS - signed up on Sunday, appeared online instantly, card arrived Thursday, pin Friday - similar experience with all other banks.
To get the £50 bonus in 12 months I understand you have to use the switching service bringing in at least 2 DD, activate online banking/the app within 60 days of account opening and pay in at least £1750 per month/£10,500 every 6 months (I have SO now set up to transfer £1750 in and £1500 out - £250 remaining funding the regular saver).
This one is not for the feint hearted - Mrs Anon was rejected
, so they have some form of higher level requirements on their credit scoring than any other accounts we have applied for (we were both accepted for MandS and all other accounts applied for without issue).

Toby Carvery is quite a good value breakfast if you have one of those nearby.
Also Ed's Diner do a good breakfast range and have 50% off food in January.
I tweeted Eds easy diner and they sent me the breakfast link and there are plenty of things suitable for OH - often we have the supersized breakfast and I just have bits from it - a sausage, spoon of beans and piece of bacon - more than enough for me
Its only around the corner from where we are staying and its one of the few eating places open early - on this shopping complex most of the eateries don't open until 10.30 or 11 for lunches - something I'd not thought about.
Dinner is another thing though. I've found on the Bella Italia club a 50% off mains code so I've got to persuade OH that this is a good idea - the world wont end if he does not go to Ikea for dinner
-
I can then use my Bella Italia gift vouchers
