Another one with bush problems here  Mine is gooseberries. The fruits are still intact but a couple of days ago the leaves were completely stripped overnight. Would slugs do this? Surely it would be a bit prickly for them but no idea what else it could be.
    Probably sawfly catterpillars
    Gooseberry sawfly :(

Good evening, my gooseberry bush was laden this year and within a couple of days there was not a leaf left, counted about a dozen caterpillars , hope the blue tits had a feed :)

Is there anything I can do about the sawfly (other than TM's method of digging it out) or have we just been unlucky this year? Will it affect anything else? Not that there's much of anything else to affect other than sluggy strawberries :(

I found it was too invasive and I just couldn't get rid of it. The following year I got no fruit and the sawfly reappeared...which weakened it again for the following year. But maybe I was just unlucky:(

    You took your time. :p

Less than £1.50 an item that works out at. :money:

I paid more and ordered the foundations for me and DD3 but she says they won't be any good for me as I have dry skin now. :(

I like to have a good look around first:)

Went to the pub tonight as Mr TS fancied burger and chips. My eyesight is getting worse couldn't read a thing on the menu forgot my bloomin glasses again. :o

Ended up being 4 of them on the trip to Bristol today, his mates son had stuff to pick up from uni while his dad was being turned on. Mr TS and another mate accompanied him while it was being done and he said it was absolutely amazing. He had not been allowed to take any of his Parkinsons medication this morning so they knew exactly where to balance things when it was turned on. They watched as he went from shaking violently to being steady they were there for quite a few hours whilst he had to do different exercise to see the results.

They all popped in for cup of tea and to see the kitchen earlier, I must admit it got me pretty emotional inside to see such a difference, it's been hard watching him deteriorate he was our best man all those years ago. He still will have to take his meds but wow medical science at it's best. :T

Mr TS took notes for him what the nurse was telling him, all the advice etc and has typed them up to take around so he doesn't forget anything important. He didn't seem quite himself yet but it was a very early (5am) start this morning, and he didn't sleep at all last night. Hope a good night's sleep will make all the difference. :A
