    and so it begins

Eldest child is en route and there was some problem with her trains and connections - there often is. So now she is delayed, cold and knackered and I think she is having to hang around Manchester Picc.
I asked her yesterday what she was up to today and she said they were going out for breakfast. As far as I could tell that was the only thing on the agenda so I really don't know why she decided to take a late afternoon train ...

So she started messaging, asking about Christmas dinner starters and she then suggested that she makes soup. I say its a bit filling before a big dinner but OK. I suggest making it the day before and then heating it up. She suggests it could be before dinner or as a supper, all very amicable.

I say we have plenty of carrots and onions. Then she suggest celeriac which I turn down because I think it tastes of celery. Eldest child disagrees. She suggests leek and potato but its a bit bland and oniony for me.
Then she has a hissy fit and says she wont do anything as its too hard.

I don't know what is wrong with carrot and coriander but I dare not suggest it without getting my head bitten off.

I'd better go and hide the crosse and Blackwell cans incase they start her off :rotfl:
