that reminds me I found this today

All Aboard! The Sleigh Ride (Slow TV) [DVD]

its a DVD where you are taken on a sleigh ride with a reindeer across the frozen wastes - the sort of thing that is nice to have on in the background when everyone is chatting/snoozing and everyone is in a post Christmas dinner stupor ....:D

nothing much happens for 2 hours and there is a lot reindeer bum but if your nerves are completely frazzled it could be very calming and relaxing

There was one on the TV in the summer which was a bus ride across Yorkshire

I've been MIA for a while, due to a trip to France with D SiL and now having a really awful throat infection.
Don't think I will ever catch up so will start again from now!

I have, at last, managed to get everything wrapped, including the 2 ft metal chicken.
We are going to DS's for Christmas, but I intended to take/make so much more but I just haven't got the energy.
My dearly beloved, grumpy old git, is trying hard to be sympathetic whilst still having a moan about me keeping him awake all night!
But , bless him, he keeps asking if there is anything he can do for me... yes... blinking well everything!! Wrap your Christmas presents, make the stuffing, shortbread, cookies, give me a shower, do my nails and pack my bag, oh yes, and get the rubbish out of my car, check tyres and water etc and leave me alone!
Rant over now, I will plod on, and I'm sure that I will meet our early morning departure time. (I have already said that I don't think I am well enough to drive).

Bubbs will be a t 15a at about 11 so will wave.

Wouldn't see much problem with vs M as this item is often around. Been ignoring it as 10% off the straight M price isn't any good:rotfl: but obviously Shopit:T makes the difference. HTH.

Thanks Savvy - note Shopm not Shopit for the cashback.

Has anyone had the Sky letter with the £13.99 free film offer? Its a customer specific code and you have to choose a film before the end of the year.
Exactly how dies it work in practice though?
Excuse the dumb question, DVDs are something I never buy but I know they sell them in charity shops for £1 and in the pound shops so I've no idea why these are £13.99, I imagine these are new releases but even so ...

I showed the letter to OH who showed no interest whatsoever - he said we unplugged and removed the DVD from under the TV, not used it forever and very rarely have time to watch an entire film - well he does I don't ...

Order on their website or through Sky Dtore on your box - should cover a new film - you will then get it free on your Sky box and they also post you the DVD. Choose wisely and you can always sell on eBsy if you don't exempt it :).
