Had problems using a conditional spend in T.
She said no alcohol and you have 2 bottles!
    I said will it scan.
    She said yes.
So I said well scan it then.
I am not allowed was the reply.
So I noticed my favourite sv was on who was called for and said scan it this time!!!!

Glad I persevered, the elite have trained me well.

Just had a fab idea, I'll buy a baby bath and use that as the outer for my hamper.
I think I'll go and make a nappy cake. If its any good I'll post a pic.
If no picture arrives......You know the outcome:rotfl:

Afternoon all! Doesn't look like I got the job by the feedback so onwards and upwards. Just got to use it as an incentive to get this house sorted before Christmas! Doesn't help that DH impulse-splurged on a £45 fancy Christmas tree in T yesterday, which is another thing on the to-do list (bauble-shopping!) and looks about 5 times bigger in our front room than it did in the shop!:rotfl:

I'm pleased to say the dessert and pudding one is also £6. Process of elimination therefore suggests it's the party food one which is £5?

Looked the right way to me. Very pretty, you've done a good job there Di :T

Would it work if you posted a pic HG, and we could all use it? Or does it have to be a different bottle each time?
Sorry to hear you dont think you got the job, but interview experience is good, something better will be along soon x

    Afternoon guys

Difficult one for me. Working in local dog rescue shop I would have to accept them and handle them. I've not actually had any since the news came out but I think that I will ask for an old note or coins in shops from now on. Veganism however is not an exact science. Some vegans go further than others. Some just do the food side of it - that is hard enough as it's a minefield out there. Then of course there is the cleaning and toiletries - I do try to be cruelty free but have stocks to use up first. The ecover coupons were brilliant for me. Then you have clothing - leather, silk (they boil up the silkworms with the silk threads), fur is a no-no of course. I am not using my old beloved leather handbags and won't buy leather, silk or wool now

Some vegans even eat eggs if they raise the hens themselves, same with honey if a known local source but mass produced honey is cruel to the bees (they kill off some and de-wing others to increase production)

I do hope that they can come up with a solution to the fiver problem, at least before the £10 and then £20 notes are changed :(

Some vegans are very in your face, and insulting to those who eat meat, saying you can;t be an animal lover and then eat animals. Fo me, I am doing it for my own conscience, doing it for me. I even pick up the odd whoopsied/cashback meat/fish to put in freezer for Steve/Andy and I have no problem sitting at same table with others eating meat and me not. I don't think we can force our opinions on others. Though I obviously would like the abuse and cruelty to stop
I know some are really really "in your face" although personally i dont know any in real life
Yes i had forgotton about the charity shop work, i just wondered really:D

    Afternoon gang,
had a visit from my brother at lunchtime,, it was a lovely surprise as don't really see him now as he has two teen girls, one is a champion diver so he has his time taken up with them.
I wanted to order a "Sheriff Callie- Oke" for my GD2 as she love that programme but found it was either extremely overpriced or out of stock..
Imagine my surprise when I found it on Argos Ebay with free delivery & cheaper than half price to the main store.
I only ordered on Sunday morning and its here already and it absolutely FAB and really big, would recommend to any 2 - 3 yrs xx
