Again waited in all day for a Freegler - no show

I always give them a two hour slot, like I would get for a delivery, some of them seem to act like they are doing you a favour.

It stops the hanging around anyway. No show and it goes to the next one on the list.

ETA you can set your terms in the listing.

I'm not going to mention any items because I think they read this thread and use information from it, but I'm not happy about Mr T pledging to price match (and benchmark by) the rivals' prices of own label items:

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/money/tesco-vows-match-rivals-aldi-9285991

There's an item - which I will not name here - that has increased in price in A and now in M:(. I suspect that T will soon price-match:(:( this.

Everything generally thought of as good is probably bad and everything generally thought to be bad is probably good:rotfl:. People generally, it seems to me, are all wrong again. This, it seems to me, is extremely often the case. It's just the initial instinctive reaction that people have, as usual without them considering the matter properly and working out its full and true implications (namely that price-matching includes price increases as well as decreases), and, as is nearly always the case, people's views are wrong. So I am here to correct that and put it right (from what I see as my own perspective). I think this price-matching is very bad for us when prices elsewhere increase and doubtless T will follow on this unnamed item soon:(.

So - and this is the reason that I use frowns - I'd like you to start associating price matching with a bad thing, rather than - and this is why I suspect the Mirror article looks good - with the good thing that I believe it is not always. Of course this is good - but from the POV of the retailer. It allows them to increase prices when competitors prices are rising, which I suspect people generally do not immediately think of when thinking about "price-matching" and also, of course, it helps maximise profits by charging the highest price they can whilst not charging more than others and meaning that we can't get the product any cheaper elsewhere.

I was trying to look for an item actually when I was in T last time - of their Eday Value and couldn't initially find it. I thought I bet they have discontinued it as anything of good value they will want to get rid of - they can't possibly keep it at good price if it is truly saving me money (this can only be done at the detriment to their profits) and therefore will want to get rid of the item. It turned out this had not actually happened, I did find it in the end but my cynicism had come in.

When I'm in a supermarket now, I just feel like the supermarket is trying to make money out of me. I feel used by them in this way. :rotfl::rotfl:This is doubtless because it is the truth - and of course indeed their very aim and existence is to make money.

I suspect most people (not necessarily this thread but people more widely) feel good when they are in a supermarket, about the emotional appeals and seemingly good promotions (some of which are, fairly, and some of which are not). It's all psychology but, once acutely aware of the tricks, I now feel like they're trying to make money of me every time. Which is most likely because it's actually correct:rotfl:.

As ever, (what is probably) the minority view, that price-matching is a bad thing (in cases where prices are increased), is probably the correct one to have.
