    Good Morning all :)

Offto Chester on the bus at the moment .Hoping to pick up a free mince pie or two curtesy of Pound shop bakery and hopefully again to have with my free 02 nero drink if it's on :)

Nellie the gammon worked but had to ask for someone.. to go and look. Eager young lad asked his boss who said they would all have been putout. He comes back with a few lol. Some folk say anything to palm you off.

Got a nice black chrismssy long sleeved top there not jumper material but t shirt material bargain £5 I thought.

Remind me again what the poundshop bakery thingy is - do you need an app or to register on the website or suchlike?

Just done a location search and we have one in the nearest town and Ive got one near us but google was not forthcoming on the subject of free mince pies :)

    *sigh*

Elderly couple pick up tiny gammon joint priced £5.41. I hand them a MASSIVE one and say "this is £3.50"

    They say "that's too big"

When i say you could cut it into 3 pieces the size you are buying and freeze two of the pieces they say "we'll stick with this" :wall:

Oh well, I'll take all 10 for me then :o :money:

I won't even bother checking my 2 other local stores and just go back to finish decorating DD2s room

There's no telling some people, it's just frustrating to see them throwing money down the drain and the big 6 will probably make more profit than ever because of it. It's as if people don't want to be seen as 'poor' if you're offering them a cheaper option, but they're wasting hard-earned cash! At least it means more for us I suppose :o

I think proper house-keeping/shopping/life skills should be taught in schools, so kids don't just get taken in by brands or by the shiny offers on the end of aisles, and they don't end up sticking with the same bank or energy provider just because that's who they've always been with! My nana tried to accuse me of thinking about my inheritance when I tried to persuade her to change energy supplier, because the idea was so foreign to her. I told her she could leave it all to the cats home for all I cared, as long as she wasn't giving it to British Gas
