    Had that cold/flu for about 3 weeks before my hols and could not take any time off work. Think I am still recovering a bit.

    Definitely a Brown Pelican (as was the other), they're very common on the Yucatan Peninisular (Cancun area), caribbean and Florida.....

    Now for a more interesting rarer pelican residence you only have to go as far as St James Park, London, just off the Mall where a colony of White Pelicans live.
