I use an opened out set of sharp scissors, place item on one knee, shave with the scissors then roller off the fluff with a clean lint roller.
    Keep repeating until gone!!

    Works for me.

My friend is looking for decent binoculars for her DH. Any recommendations please from those in the know?

We spent ages looking for binoculars before we went on holiday. We were advised to get some about 8 x 42 rather than greater magnification because it gets hard to hold them steady, you need a tripod for any higher. We went for porro prism rather than roof prism because roof prism have to be expensive to be any good. We got some Nikon Aculon off Ebay Currys.

Sarah ...I think as long as it hasn't fallen victim of the "tissue in pocket" type wash and it's not one that says dry clean only etc, then I would be tempted to take the dress back or send an email and photos to the retailer....Clothes should be designed to withstand washing and maybe what you describe suggests your dress did not.
