:rotfl:I didn't think this one would give anything at all - too many mbuys on the receipt:(. However, it has given £1.94 against T which is not bad:
7 items (5 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison
Asda tesco
1x Thorntons Classics Chocolate Box (274G) £7.00 £6.00
1x Shepherd Neame Classic Collection IPA (500ML) £1.25 N/A
3x Kopparberg Premium Pear Cider (500ML) £5.00 £5.00
1x Wye Valley Brewery Butty Bach Premium Ale (500ML) £1.25 N/A
1x Walkers Beef & Onion Flavour Crisps (6X25G) £1.45 £1.50
1x [REGIONAL ITEM]* (500ML) £1.25 N/A
1x Walkers Ready Salted Crisps (6X25G) £1.45 £1.50
1x Thwaites Wainwright Golden Ale (500ML) £1.25 £1.79
Comparison total (compared products only) £16.15 £15.79
+£0.36 cheaper
The crisps mbuy does not appear so, instead of subtracting from the APG, they actually add to the '10% cheaper':). Obviously not our price, but very good for me here:T. The Thwaites Wainwright ale did not help, but they put a box of chocs onto the shop which made T cheaper:T:j:beer:. I also got a comparison of exactly 8 different item (though they got no comparison at all by leaving their receipt behind:rotfl:), so I'm glad they bought everything they did, even if it would have been far better if the 3 for £5 cider mbuy had glitched rather than subtracting A's £2.20 mbuy discount:(.
Those crisps give an M price of £1.25 each (2 for £2.50:eek:), obviously still not very good:

In fact I suspect all of the items with £1.65 M price are on 4 for £6 mbuy:eek: in M, even if sometimes they have SELs that just say straight £1.65 (which I think is more usually when they have just had a change in price on a specific bottle - often from £1 price and they change the SEL to the individual price but don't put the mbuy onto the shelf straight away) and sometimes I even see £1 and any £4 for £6 on the same label (but I suppose it could be mix and match with other products to pay expensive IMO £6 overall - I assume that four of an item at individual £1 would charge you £4).
So, if it were 4 for £6, it should be £1.50 each which would still leave A more than 10% cheaper but would have mitigated a little compared to £1.65 appearing for them all as it has done. So maybe it should have been all comparable items on M mbuy on the comp.
I had thought it should have been M price of £1.25 each, which would then have seen M being cheaper and that it should be 80p plus 10% of £1.21 in difference meaning £2.01 instead of T's £1.94. However, the mbuy price in M doesn't work out at £1.25, it's more expensive so the comp. vs T on this one is overall better than the real M pricing. I'm not convinced about the lack of Thorntons 274g at M:rotfl: - but purely because I'm never convinced about much these days. However, they also bought some roses - if they are the Mixed Roses that no longer appear on a.com then in reality M may be cheaper and, if they were to be on a.com, they should be £4 vs £2 M. So they may have spent more than M on those. Or maybe they are £3 nowadays (in M), with the price on other flowers having in effect risen (actually M have brought in ones on different BCs and the old BC stock at the lower price is no longer available) - however with the roses being absent from m.com for so long, I've stopped looking for their price in M now as they are an inevitable fail as they are no-show. Typical that the A Chrysanthemums, that did not used to be on a.com, are now there and that one of my shoppers bought them when they had just, in effect, gone up in M - meaning that one item affected the whole comp., lost out against M, A now came out more than 10% cheaper than M and it turned into T better at a lower APG:( (although I think M should have still been better as a number of items returned N/A for M:(:().
A note that the BM Turkey Dinosaurs (500g) have picked up M price of £1 - I bought a pack of them on a shop earlier in A - despite me on Monday not even finding them on offer until my second M store as the first had not changed the SEL. I had thought comps. on freezer items against M could be dodgy now, with M having moved the freezer sections in its stores around and the way in which the SELs are stuck onto the freezers now seems more permanent and not as easy to change - stores tend to put offer items into end freezers and I do not believe those are checked by the APG: it needs the main aisle stock price to be changed on the shelf. Also one of my stores taking over three weeks to change SELs on some freezer items last time. However, the APG did get the £1 M price. I waited a little more - and hopefully we are on Wednesday now - to try to allow the prices in the stores to be changed - if the APG checks early on Monday, it may be likely to find more stores that, at that stage, haven't done so but at least it has worked for me (whether this is from Monday or from Wednesday - shop was late yesterday). So, for me, it was all good and just as well as it was about the only item giving worthwhile APG on my shop so, without it, it would have been pence. HTH.
I figured the day before that, with the Palmolive Aroma gels going up in price during the day from paying us to costing 40p each, it would still cost me £1.60:eek: if I went and bought four - and in fact more than that as I would have to pay for fillers - so, instead, I didn't bother with them and kept my APGs intact. I would simply have ended up with £1.60 fewer in APGs than I had, to spend. I've spent them now on an essential items:( shop (no fillers as they just add to the cost and see me losing the 10% on other items which may then just be bought elsewhere) against M , which, whilst not a huge APG, is worthwhile. And I needed that £1.94:rotfl::rotfl::T. I've not been doing a great deal of A shopping recently - just buying elsewhere that is cheaper anyway (on non-comparables) - A can be a really expensive place if you are buying so much - and the £1.94 receipt was the only one I managed to pick up in the atrocious weather I had earlier on.
*The item whose name I have removed from the comp., in order to "protect the integrity of my own location":D, I note I found it showing OOS on msm; however it is appearing on the comp. It is showing when signed in on msm for me so it's clearly available in my region and is on a.com in my area, therefore appears on the comp. (very thankfully as I only just got 8 items) and won't be any glitch.0 -
