Goodnight everyone. No trick-or-treaters for me tonight either. Really odd as there is usually a small procession. I'll just have to eat my muffins myself!0

Just looked up the price of a dyson hair drier after seeing an advert............ just “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Evening Elite :j
Have updated my October spend and NSD's as well as eBay profit and am very pleased. I'm going to continue into November, aiming for £80 groceries, over half month of NSDs and to earn £50 on eBay (this month included a sat nav I had to sell so £50 should be achievable without that)
Well done to eveyone else who cut their spending in October :money:
I popped out at 5.20 and came home at 6.20 and as I drove into our cul-de-sac, the multi-family group was just leaving to go up the other street, so I avoided them:D:D Mind you, they don't normally knock at our bungalows at the end of the cul-de-sac as they know that they are 'old people/disabled housing'

That'll be because it's being advertised (and therefore demand being careated to make it "popular" which therefore... supply and demand presumably: price up!). I think you need to find some unadvertised deal;):rotfl::money:.
But, generally, as I've said before and to the point of my stuck-recorddom and boredom again:laugh:, buy the complete opposite way to what most people are doing and (generally) be quids in!
I saw, and decided to buy, some Ant Powder earlier... like, we are now out of summer and no ants likely to be around at all! But, actually :money:. It'll get used when it's time comes around, just saw it knocked down*. I once bought some de-icer in the middle of high summer and saved there too. Be unseasonal and counter to 'everyone' else (that obviously isn't the minority (taken as a proporton of the whole UK population) on this thread that hopefully all work in this way). I think it's time to start thinking about Hallowe'en now:rotfl: (perhaps in prep. for next year:cool:).
*I dare not given the price really:o:o as people will beat me and say it's too much and that I overpaid! I'm always a novice in this field still:(. There was plenty still left - Raid Ant Powder (250g), M in Ellesmere Port at 50p (some RTC shelf moved away from the main aisle where it would normally have been). Not my primary collection store this time. That varies every time;):rotfl::rotfl:.0 -

But GHD also advertise, but can sell their driers for a fifth of the price “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Then buy those instead of the other ones you saw:rotfl::rotfl:. Unless there's some sort of quality difference at issue. It's "shocking" though, isn't (except that nothing of this nature really shocks me) - the wide variances in prices on some things that are available. Obviously (I would have thought:rotfl:) the big well-known brand names attract higher prices - doesn't mean some smaller 'brand', or unknown brand (they are all still brands even if ones the public generally doesn't really know) - can't do the job equally as well or better. And for a much cheaper cost to you.0 -
Anyway, I have gotta go dave, see you later:wave:.
(I know - me being familiar, using first names, I never do that!)
(As a matter of fact, I do sometimes speak quite formally in oral speech and that is related to my ASD - disorder:D, I like that word - nice and out of order:T:D:rotfl: - I think it's because everything has to be thought about in advance and prepared mentally inside, to make sure every word is the precise right one and totally accurate in every respect - most people are not this precise - of course what I say is never totally accurate:rotfl: - there will always be something cut out - but I digress - usually because other people interrupt me and stop me with my boredom (of them) ....zzzz... - but it's thought about carefully beforehand, which is why it takes me a short time before I say anything (I'm thinking, so don't interrupt as it otherwise diverts me to dealing with your speaking and my whole thought process has to start them again from stratch) - unless it is on a specialist topic in which case I just waffle on and on...:):rotfl: I think I have the answer to some of the autism reseachers'/scientists' questions - why don't the scientists ask us?:D)0 -

What do you spend time on searching for prices for them then?
(Except that I do over a hundredfold 'worse' than you, checking hundreds of prices of nothing I buy at M:rotfl:.)0
