I paid £1.50 for 5, didn't do a targeted shop as just wanted the soup.

    30p a can :D

Ive got them twice as part of a targeted shop

Firstly I got 5 different flavours - 3 flavours matched the Sada priced ones but 2 didn't

chicken on its own (not chicken and veg)
    spicy parsnip

So the 2nd shop I just got spicy parsnip and chicken on its own :D

so if you have 5 soups - 2 flavours (and 5 MOCs)
6 different Hipps (not the fruity museli) (and 6 free Hipp MOC)
that's a good start for a comparison shop

I seem to remember that once you have claimed then that's it. If your circumstances change (like mine have), I think you are supposed to let them know, not sure what happens if you forget.
You do not have to claim it each year, HMRC should continue until you inform them of any changes but I would check both tax codes as HMRC do get the tax codes wrong sometimes hth

    Thank you.
  • Carling app undated - as first I thought  but it's still

Still comparing T v M for a BG, great to use along with the Little Dish.

I managed to get 2 walls papered by a friend of a friend in return for Carling:D

  • I'm pleased to report another no spend day for me, I think that must be nearly a week now, although dh did get milk and eggs the other day. I got carried away with my painting so I didn't go to ALDI, I'll nip in on my way to work tomorrow. Still 11 days to go though so not sure I'll stay within my target. I can see the back of my tin cupboard that hasn't happened for a long time.
Have we seen LEJC? I have only been skimming this week so maybe I have just not noticed her posts.

Does anyone know if you have to claim married tax allowance each year or once you've claimed does it continue every year?

As far as I know it does and think you can revoke if required

Hello all, long time no see :D
Was lovely to see LS twice in the last week, had a good quick catch up and I now feel guilty for not popping on here more often :o new man seems to be making you really happy LS :)
I work too hard :( 44 hour weeks are so tiring!

    Hey sunshinemummy

DH got hit by a lorry on the motorway a few weeks back
He's fine but the car is possibly never coming home. So we have had to bring plans forward and go out and buy me a new car for when I pass my test so DH can still get to work and back again.
It's just another thing we hadn't bargained on committing ourselves to so soon
But he is fine and that's all that matters, just a shame the new car is small and doesn't have much boot space for glitch shopping :rotfl: will be perfect for me to pootle around in when I can drive though :D

Hope everyone is fun and hugs to all that need them :)
    Hi Dip
Sorry to heat his but cars can be replaced even if you wasnt bargaining on it:( just glad he is ok:T
Do you have a date for test yet?

A good set of wombles with all of them returning APGs:), except the one that didn't have enough items. There could be some good wombles out there if shoppers ever buy the 1L alcohol bottles at £17 in A (and don't buy too badly vs M) as £17 could be a good enough strategic price for some shoppers tempted towards the end of the year running up to
    :eek:Christmas (we haven't even done Hallowe'en yet!).

    Vs M
1x ASDA Grated Coloured Cheddar And Red Leicester (500G) £2.19 £2.21:)
    1x Actimel Strawberry Yogurt Drinks (12X100) £3.00 £2.00
    1x Birds Eye 26 Breaded Chicken Nuggets (541G) £2.50 £2.97:(

So, lost again:(. The system said they were cheaper (on the comparables), by 72p:( - that's often purely due to people buying what looks good enough price whilst in A and even then they come out at roughly the same price as competitors - but I don't think they are cheaper in fact. So, that's lost me about 87p from that APG. BE Nuggets are comparing vs S at £2. The offer in M, according to online, is due to end on 23rd October. This shop was from yesterday so it could be the system isn't updated but, if it is, it's no hope in any event!

Obviously too many full price SELs in their Ms:(:(:( and, if they had that on Monday, I doubt their stores would be any different on Wednesday, particularly as the offer in M has already been running for a while (if stores haven't changed SELs by now then when are they going to do so?) - it could be contributed to by situations where they move whole sets of items and then print the SELs all at full price - or, often they have the items in the freezers at the end, showing the offer, but don't change the SELs in the aisles:(. Or, in this case, as the offer is coming to an end (even though it still has several days left to run in M!) stores may change their SELs to full price a little early. I do come across stores with full price on these Nuggets but it was not enough to give me concern and I had proper £2 SELs showing in more other stores. So, APG isn't working - it'll probably work on those L'Oreal Extraordinary Shampoos/Conditioners where I had five stores against one:rotfl:.

Of course it could be other items are like that - usually, if I have three stores, see full price in the first two but find the offer in the third, I then have it on offer and don't bother checking in any subsequent stores (if I do more, as I now usually do). It could be that checking three further stores could have been full price showing in all of them, but, unless I happen to walk past it and notice it, I would not know - otherwise I would be having to check for the every item in every store which, the way I do it, is just not possible. I did have quite a few stores yesterday showing full price of £1.44 on the Laughing Cow dips (I have had that on another occasion, to such an extent that I became in doubt as to their real price, but maybe I am just unlucky on them). Yesterday, I did have a couple of stores that were showing the £1 price, one of them showing offer expiry date of 23rd October so that satisfied me they are on offer. It could be that, overall, my stores could have more £1.44s than £1s:( - however, as the APG checks different stores from me, they will have a different situation. They could have more £1s but, if there are several stores in general showing £1.44, it may be less likely to have £1 in at least the same number of stores - it could tip over into more £1.44s and give the APG that M price. So, it could be hit or miss and very random.

It can be different items in different sets of stores - I've had no doubt that the Chicago Town Subs have been on 2 for £2 mbuy, but yesterday I had stores generally showing no mbuy on the shelf, including one that has been showing it before. The lack of mbuy was to such an extent that I became in doubt as to whether the offer was still on, even when I saw it in a couple of stores. However, I was still in doubt probably for that reason - only those two were showing it so it could have ended and others changed their SELs due to that. If I'd happened to have more stores showing it, it wouldn't have been as unclear as it was. I ended up scanning one of them as I was now at a minority showing the offer at my final store and the offer was still on in M yesterday - I think it's probably on until 23rd October like the 'main' Chicago Towns. But those could have no problem elsewhere, maybe I was just unlucky although, to me, it does look like several stores have lost their mbuy on the SEL early, so the Subs could now be at a bit of a risk.

I've had doubt on the Steak Bakes and the own label Chicken Grills on one or two occasions when I've happened to pick stores that aren't showing the offer even though there is no doubt that the offer has been on continuously throughout and, most of the time, I've had stores that show it. Just a few occasions, with some set of stores, I become in doubt from those stores - even though the offer has been long ongoing and shown elsewhere.

As I said, yesterday just felt more anomalous than normal.
