Lovely to see you back Rhosynbach.

    Happy birthday Serendipitious :bdaycake:

After all the interesting posts last week I've decided to try and do something about my pension - I have bits all over the place and no idea what I should be doing with them. So I took a deep breath and have made an appointment with Pension Wise for tomorrow morning. Have spent this evening gathering up random bits of paper in preparation. I also got DH to ask about buying extra years in his company scheme but that option is no longer available so we need to think of something else for him.

Thanks HG I'll look at the myself we could do with tying some pensions up together. Pension wise I didn't even know it existed.
  • Morning all

Just a quickie - the ebay seller has messaged me back asking for what proof I had that it was fake and that he'd offer me a £7 refund in return for not leaving bad feedback... What is the protocol here?

How much did you pay for it?

I would think that you would need at least a full refund, and even then I would leave feedback to warn others about what you received.

Di, your frocking total is excellent! x

I know I'm amazed to be honest, the painting has helped it's kept me in quite a bit. It will increase today though as I'm going to ALDI on the way to Dd.
We are sorting the babies bedroom today:eek: it's still full of stuff from when they moved in so whilst I'm in the painting mood I thought we'd give it a once over and then dh can get her some carpet from work. He gets it at a great price, I tried to convince him he could get an off cut for nothing but he replied " No Diane" I always no it's a no goer when he uses my full title :rotfl:

    Morning

Those hampers are ridiculous, but so many people buy them

Restless night here, kept thinking something was going to happen with the fuse box:o

We usually receive a couple from OH's work clients. I unpack them as soon as they arrive and put the wicker baskets on Ebay. Luckily they come in cardboard boxes, so the baskets are ready for posting. Peak time just before Xmas so they sell easily.

Usually the food is luxury stuff, I give away a lot of the stuff we won't eat. Last year it went to an Elite person :j

I'd want a 100% refund in return for sending the item back. From seller's POV that means you no longer hold the evidence, from your POV you're not out of pocket.

Provided I had all my money back I wouldn't leave any feedback good or bad.

Regarding the pensions discussion I am thinking that in forty years time all of the current batch of 20s and 30 something's will have a whole string of various work based pensions - I read somewhere that it will be common place for everyone to have a very varied work pattern including going back into education at least once and having maybe at least 2 different careers over their lifetimes and periods of self employment- gone will be what is commonplace now people working for the same company for decades

What worries me is how it will all be co ordinated - when this generation gets to whatever the state retirement age is then - 72 or 75 even with a sheaf of various work based pensions, mostly from business and companies that have long gone - the physical business of organising it all
