    If the date of expiry is 28 days from you entering it, it likely has not been used (also if you are logged in when you claim I think it says already claimed on another account or similar).

    PS on the till if you did try entering a voucher that had been used, with this new system scanning voucher and receipt it would reject the voucher.

    If it has been used the system wont allow you to go any further unless you put in the email addy that its was claimed with.
