Thanks bubbs......just looking at Virgin now

    Don't understand this:think:

Maximum calendar monthly deposit limit £250
Maximum deposit limit £3,500 a year. For all accounts the maximum deposit limit also applies to joint accounts.

If you had opened an account in the last week (September) and paid in £250 by faster payment - then set up a monthly standing order for £250 from 1 October 16 to 1 October 17, inclusive, it was possible to pay in £3,500 before maturity on 20 October 17.

I'm continuing to buy the local papers for the rail tokens.

Today's random news story.....a Pan Hag fest was being held locally today to celebrate " Panhaggerty" or Panaculty or even Tattie hash as it is known locally. A recipe made with various cuts of meat or corned beef and veg.

A Japanese artist was in residence to capture the event:eek::eek::eek:

Well done to everyone taking the challenge....I'm wanting to join in somehow but haven't figured out how yet:rotfl:

For anyone interested....my eBay sales in September amounted to just short of £80 after charges. Way short of what I hoped but money I wouldn't otherwise have had. I still have some odds and ends to relist:)

    Beat ya :p:p Just!

    After fees just over £80

Sold all items listed 7, but one returned. The buyer that requested a refund and return on the 11th Sept because of a faulty zip. Today I actually received them back  not sure why the buyer deemed necessary to hang on to them for so long. Mother suspects fowl play due to the way the zip is damaged :( but I have no absolute proof.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
