Putting £250 into a monthly saver for a year that is offering 2.25% will give you.......drum roll....wait for it.....£31.13 in interest.
as awful as the interest rates are its still better than nothing.
if you saw £31.13 lying about in the street you would collect it up and dance with joyso on the annual anniversary of your monthly savings when £31.13 goes into your account its a dance with joy day
planning what to do with your £31.13 is part of the fun - you can find some nice meals out on groupon or livingsocial, if you go through the travelogue website you can find odd nights away for £35, you can treat yourself to something in the sales ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Thought this info would interest you. Think it only came out yesterday or day before. You sound like me, taking money out the ISA's etc. I get worried when a note pops up asking me if I'm sure I would like to withdraw money from the ISA as something to do with losing tax benefits. Cant understand it really. Only know that 2.25% interest is better than 0.25%:eek:
i had a look at the webpage and there is a Virgin red app you can download which you gives you entry to a monthly draw and offers and there is something about free coffee at Neros :j
I came very late to ISAs but fortunately I got brave and opted for a 5 year one which now has 3 years to run - best move as that one is paying me 4% and then last year the best I could get was 2.15% for a 2 year one - this year its 1.10% so I am just using it as a donor account - I don't think we will ever see interest rates of over 5% ever again“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I must be getting old, I have no idea who at least half the contestants on Strictly are this year. Loved Judge Rinder yesterday though
