that reminds me I had one of those as a print off to collect from Iceland - I've no idea what happened to it, too much going on at the time, probably OOT by now ...

I've got enough HiltonHonors points for a stay at the swanky new Hilton Hampton in Newcastle but I am still dithering about it - if there is enough to keep us amused in Newcastle eg history, museums, art galleries etc
or wether to use it as a half way hotel, just for a night when en route to Edinburgh

Newcastle is a fabulous night out for drinking and dancing!

we also have been facing printer ink crisis point for the last few weeks - held back by the lack of print off MOCS

when we were a household of students the printer ink was being changed every couple of months or even sooner as errant son had a printer ink allowance but recently I've only been doing a bulk order once a year. Recently I've thought unless the price is fabulous then there is actually no point in having a printer ink stockpile.
So I've just ordered one solitary ink cartridge to collect from Argos in Sainsbobs later this afternoon - at least I can part pay with my nectar points so at least these are being put to good use.

does anyone know if Argos stick rigidly to their after 4 o'clock collection time or is it worth trying after lunch?

I don't know - but I went for a collection to be told it hadn't arrived, went back later, still not arrived, got a bit peeved then someone took a proper look and said it was out of stock, so it never was going to arrive, was it? Just don't know why they never said that in the beginning and saved me two trips...

    Morning all :)
Thanks for the Debs code info.
Ordered the Yankee advent as a gift, and a couple of other bits and pieces. There are some Christy bathsheets which are already reduced by 77%, and the code takes another 40% off, which brings them down to about £5 each. The original price seems unbelievably high, but good value at a fiver I think :)
Have a good day all, I am off on my footie travels :footie::footie:

Thank you so much! We now have a completely new set of towels arriving in the week. We don't really need them, but at these prices it would have been rude not to indulge:j

Haven't told the hubby he will now be using fuchsia coloured towels:rotfl::rotfl:

Just randomly stumbled upon a Virgin bank esaver with a reasonable fixed interest rate of 2.25%. So opened a his and her account :)
Now need to find out if I can switch my co op account to a joint Halifax reward account and if my OH would be entitled to the £100 switch. I claimed it already, so wont get it again, so wondered if he would get it, if I opened a joint account. If not will have to set up a donor account for him to switch to Halifax .

Also Nationwide 1 year 5% rate finished on their current account but I still got a savings account that should still get 5% till December. Do I still need to have the current account and just leave the savings account there, or would it be best to keep the current account active till December too?

Decisions decisions. Miss Karlies updates on here about savings :(
