Some accounts will have 75p OFF only.

Ta - just checked and I've got free but OH only has 75p :(

the shopping lists are going to be complicated this week, just one or 2 things from all of the supermarkets

I also noticed the Belvoir presse and though £1 cashback was good enough but when I went to mysupermarket it said they were £1.50 last week, £2.30 this week so now I am disgruntled :)

also this morning I went in search of the free shopimum chocs in what I thought was a big enough Mr !!!!!! but sadly not stocked, pity about this as they also had some of the hipps - not sure if I can justify the trip up to the giant mega superstore Mr !!!!!!

    another thought to ponder

I had a random letter from Ovo the energy people which would normally just have been put straight in the recycle. I am still with Scottish power and I've not switched as I worry about going with a company I've never heard of.
I think I am tied to a long contract as well - have to check the dates on this and mark it in the calender when its time to do comparisons

    anyway getting sidetracked ....

the letter said that you would get 3% interest when you are in credit so I wondered how this worked in practice.
Is anyone with Ovo and have you had an interest payment for being in credit?
do other electric companies operate the same scheme?
I wonder if this is 3% gross with no tax taken off?
also what is the maximum you can be in credit?

I am thinking that with the banks and the building societies paying such dismal ammount of interest than if your utility company pays 3% than that has to be a better option for small ammounts of money you have put aside for future bills.
and it would also take the worry out of thinking about winter bills if you know your account is well in credit

now I think about it I seem to think I vaguely seem to think I saw a similar scheme amongst the Scottish power rules and regulations - might do some research. I know I've added money to the account before over the phone when a direct debit didn't go through.

I do have a little experience with Ovo...we arn't with them directly as our main supplier but we inherited them when we bought one of the rental properties and never switched....I find them really easy to deal with and very efficient....we only dip in and out with them in voids but I have never had any problems getting them to accept meter readings etc....
I believe they are not offshore so thats always a bonus and TBH if we have void periods in the other properties that are long enough to get a switch done I will be looking at doing so.

Although in fairness I have no idea what there actual tariffs are...but a company that deals with me effectively is far better in my mind than someone who chrages less but has no idea of processes!!!

I can just imagine your application... yes I use £50 a month but can my direct debit be £500 a month as the 3% is fab!
