Well, hello!:) I wasn't going to post tonight, but just leave you all wondering where I was, but since my last post got 7 thanks (probably the most number on the page so far), I'll leave it up. It's useless though as it's the incomplete post before I added the rest back on:rotfl:! Laughing about the incompleteness not the adding back on - er, yes, I did have to add it back all manually - so, another half hour of wasted time that could have been better spent elsewhere:rotfl:. The list is now updated from Monday - I don't know how I manage it (especially with this website losing over two thirds of a page of the list from one of the posts!) - I didn't post yesterday, or this morning, as just way too much to do from the update already.
There wasn't actually much change in M (just the hundreds of new items I pick up every time:rotfl:) - the BE Chicken Burgers 4 pack went up, as did the Tunnock Milk Chocolate Teacakes 10 pack - went up from £1.30 to £1.60 as if they think I won't notice it, so, don't buy that anymore. Another item went up too - I can't remember at the moment what it was - I've properly drawn attention to it on the list or else I've removed it:cool:.
I've removed several of the car accessory items (they were on 'buy in M') and dust covers/household non-grocery items (screwdriver, utility key, solvite roll etc). - they were on RTC in M earlier but I don't know whether that's store-specific or what's happened - I'm now seeing full price SELs in stores that have some of the products and the Nitro Mors Varnish Remover (375ml) that was £3.08 RTC about a week or two ago has now scanned at over £6, so I just can't rely on the RTC anymore - I think M may have put the whole lot back up or, at any rate, my prices are dodgy. So, I've just removed the lot.
A similar situation may have existed on the Cherry Blossom shoe polishes and other shoe-related products - I've only ever seen one store that had a half price or near-half price RTC on them and that was supposely on until October - I've not revisited the store since but over 15 others in the several weeks since and seen no indication of any lower price. One scanned last week at full price 77p so I removed them back then although, tbh, 77p on shoe polish, M is usually a good place to buy it - but for the offer that is either on in one M only or was shortlived. The same may be the case on the Pirate Plates and similar that are/were 18p - I've only seen that in one store too, though on the regular aisle run shelves and no indication of it being any store specific stickered markdown. I suspect they are not 18p anymore.
I think no-one else has any clue what I'm on about anyway:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, as no-one else knows what's on the list - and, into a different section, I also think M have recently been putting prices up on several stationery items (Bendy Maths Set seems to have gone from 48p to £1, Bostik Adhesive stick, whatever it was called, went from 50p to 60p RTC with £2 in between it seems, Maped Ergo Fun Fancy Eraser that was 5p a year or more ago and seemingly went up to 25p RTC probably by some greater increase in the meantime before I rediscovered it is now, it seems creeping up to 30p RTC via 50p. I do not exclude the possibility that there are different versions in different Ms though and different prices - they obviously don't want every customer to get the best deal and, to be fair, why would they?).
So the list is up-to-date (as much as it can be, in other words it's yesterday and it's whatever prices I got, largely from SELs, which may be correct (hopefully they are) or may not be correct) until there's another one from information from tomorrow. I think, before the next update, I may post backup copies of all the posts somewhere in case this website loses something again - it has been having an intermittent error when trying to update the posts over the last couple of weeks or so. There's too much to mention now, about what I've added, as I've just not got time sorry and I'd only waffle on for ages anyway even if I could post everything I was thinking (and you know I have to!) so I just assume that everything is common knowledge and it's all on the list to be seen now anyway. So, go and read the bold parts of all of the posts of the list and don't be so idle expecting me to summarise it for you!:p:rotfl:
That's how it is, so it's alright:cool:. I'll mention the 200g Schwartz Grill Mates though. Those items that I went through over 80 stores before and never saw ever:rotfl:! I saw these on Sunday night on msm whilst seeing if I'd missed anything - and it looked like they were 50p from what was then 'tomorrow' (in other words Monday just gone, yesterday). In fact it looked to me like an error and that msm might have been picking up some much smaller sizes and linking them up to 200g versions wrongly. That's how good the M RTC is, I thought it was a mistake by the msm computer:rotfl:! I wasn't expecting to see the products at all in M on Monday but I did find (some of) them and, indeed, one of them scanned at reduced price of 50p and with a discount of £1.50 off £2. So, I can confirm that at least one of them is 50p in M (the Honey & Soy version that I have the incorrect £2 SEL for:rotfl:) and that three others are 50p according to the SEL in a different store (although there's info. on the list, I got just two stores, out of six checked, with any of them and the 50p price on three of them in one store outweighs the incorrect £2 on four (those same three plus Honey & Soy) from another of my check stores on a tied result - one £2 vs one 50p - Honey & Soy not in my "50p" SEL store - the APG will be different depending on which M stores it is in).
That'll have to do - I am thinking of other things in my collection yesterday but I'd probably only spent ages posting (like I've already done in this post so far!) - so, read the list basically, as all I know that's worth mentioning is on the list!
This isn't worth mentioning but still! Is this all I can come up with? M Massoman Curry Paste 100g (sachets) 15p store specific RTC shelf price, fairly long date, Morrisons in Leigh. All the other amendments, that resulted from store specific RTC shelf prices, have already gone onto the list and now in bold (so you can see some of the stores I went to and try to guess my location:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::cool::o). Will I go to any of those same stores tomorrow? Well, that would be telling!:D (Read what you like into that grin - you're not going to interpret it correctly because people never get my expressions or meanings:rotfl:!)
Where an item on the list is in bold, any associated note added will normally be in non-bold, so you need to read that as well as that's also new!
Bold is the changes, so it includes changes in prices too (both at M and at A but at A only to the extent that I have caught up with them and I rarely do). A change in price will be noted in bold, not just additions of whole items, and notes are put into bold when they relate to items that were already on the list, but new items (which are themselves in bold), additional notes will usually be in non-bold. That's how the list works - or it's how I work anyway, and I think it's there to ensure there isn't a whole mass of bold text when an item is added (so just the item and its prices is in bold, any additional note - in which I usually waffle on:rotfl: - is then in 'normal' text).
Where there's a change in price, I normally leave the old price on the list, but crossed out, so you can see what's happened. Otherwise, if I don't, if the item remains on the list uncrossed then obviously the price has gone down (if it's an M price) - if the M price has increased, then the item will be crossed out so you can always see which way it has gone because of that. A prices which are in bold (which may be old changes in A that I have only just noticed) may be price increases - which I normally take to be in our favour. If I'm frowning, it's usually because the A price has gone down (reducing the potential APG) - especially if it's an unliked straight £1 price or a hopeless price match where the 10% price difference on the single item is almost worthless.
A brief stop tonight (except this post isn't brief so my stop isn't brief anymore:rotfl:) - and I'll see you later (Thursday onwards:)).0 -
