Snap can't believe what your Doctors triage said about your ear. I had one of those telephone assessments by 111 operator when it happened to me and the outcome was that I needed to have it examined by Doctor within 2 hrs. Unfortunately the operator wasn't able to secure an appointment so she said she would ring back within 2 hrs and do another assessment  You could imagine what my response was.So DD took me to Walk in centre where only had to wait half an hour to see the Doctor. Got prescribed antibotics
Joke was while we were at Pharmacy in Tesco, 111 rang back to say that they managed to secure an appointment at the same centre an hour later.
Actually it isn't really a joke just another system that can let you down when you most need it.
Hope you can your ear sorted in time for your hols.
MKS hope your GS has made a full recovery and you have got over the shock too.
Have a Good one folks x
Thank you, ROCKINGHAM. x0 -

"kummerspeck" - a German word which loosely translates to "excess weight gained from emotional overeating", but which is much better under its literal meaning: grief bacon.
"Torschlusspanik" - literally 'gate-closing panic'; the fear of diminishing opportunities as one gets older  this word is often applied to women who feel they are too old to have children.
"die beleidigte Leberwurst speilen" - literally 'to play the insulted liver sausage'; to stick out one's lower lip sulkily (what my Mum calls "a pet lip")
nudnick (Yiddish) - an over-talkative, boring person
"zakilpistola" - a Basque word, the meaning of which I'll let you find out for yourself:D:D:D'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Not me. I'm a shopping !!!!!!:D I have no brand loyalty whatsoever, I worship at the altar of £ s d.
Having worked in retail, I know how so many similar products from supposedly different companies come from the same factory, same production line, same production processes.'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'
