Off to Surrey shortly in the Berlingo :D (fingers crossed we stop at Bicester Outlet for lunch..)

Hoping the Queen's card arrives tomorrow for their anniversary :)

Turkey out the freezer to go with us. My older DS is a good organiser so I will be kept busy at Parents. The party is Saturday, hoping to return Sunday.... via IKEA :)

The card for my in-laws arrived on the day :D

MiL still has it in her handbag, she was well and truly made up :D

There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Been there, done that! It draws the fire very nicely and conveniently incinerates itself in the process. (My Dad made me a metal thing in the end which did the trick and greatly reduced the personal risk to me.) x

I despair bubbs, I really do. I am more cross because I have only been using it a month myself and it was picking up lovely. I hope there is no more damage and the drive belt is all that is wrong. I've paid extra for genuine parts and express delivery, can't stand being without, I walk barefoot around the house and hate treading on bits. :o If it wasn't so new I would probably have been happy getting copy part bit silly of me I know. Good thing is they had the hepa filter kit half price so I have ordered that as well to keep for when I need it.

I am wringing my hands in despair

Sometimes I think really highly intelligent people just cant cope with the everyday practical things like vacuums, their brains are just not wired for everyday life.
I remember sitting on a platform chatting to a nice young bloke who was a medic heading off to his very first full time job having just qualified. I then steered him away from the train going to south to Birmingham and onto the Manchester train going north which was were his new hospital was :rotfl:

the damp patch this morning is starting to look like a delicate shade of green - I wish I'd put a webcam on it now, it would have been am internet sensation.

or at least a time lapse camera

I wonder if its like a bruise and it will turn all sorts of wonderful colours before starting to heal

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Morning everyone. Hoping for another nice day. Got a bit of a shock this morning, looked outside and there where a load of leaves on the lawn - Autumn's really kicking in now. Closer inspection revealed the leaves were slugs yuk! Seen the odd one or two before but never in this quantity.

    Have a good one!
