Very dull today - hoping weather improves for our weekend away.
Friend confessed to me last night that she wants to leave her OH
It has been a long time coming & only she could make that decision, with no influence from us observers.
Finally she has got the strength to do something. Her OH has always dictated who she can see or where she can go:(
Its her DS's birthday we are celebrating this weekend, he said she couldn't come away with us. He was invited, but he refused. His own daughter's birthday weekend???
She decided she is comingI know she will fret about him.
I will support her whatever she decides.
Unfortunately he is putting all the blame on me :eek: 'your friend'
But I asked them to come as a couple. Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

He sounds like he is incapable of reflecting on his behaviour so will transfer blame to you.... but you are strong and take ignore him. Your friend may benefit from attending a course to develop her understanding of domestic abuse, the systemic nature of this, the impact on her and her children and what constitutes safe and healthy relationships, women's aid often run these.
Hope your friend has a great weekend, grows in confidence and enjoys her new adventures x100 -

Hornetgirl.....loving Jack Monroe's book. It's inspired me to get back to basics when I get home. I really enjoyed the section on beans and pulses. Feeling guilty remembering that I have bags and bags of dried beans bought from A on RTC which I should be using up. They are doing no good at all sat in the back of cupboards.
That's the nice thing about holidays....finding time to reassess life....and add perspectiveTo do is to be. Rousseau

You don't have problems submitting the ipint receipt to cos/cs for the toothbrush?
I've been keeping ipint purchases separate
Morning luvlies, I must admit I've been separating mine but was doing a Carling shop a couple of days ago and forgot to separate the Schwartz herbs. Paid out fine on both
Good news from the vets, Stanley Boy is now allowed out into one room only with the door closed :T. This is for the next 2 weeks (will need to be 3 as my dad is feeding him while we're away), then confined to lower level furniture - don't know how we are going to do this as the stairs are in our lounge. Then he can have the whole of the house for another 2 weeks and goes back to vets in October for a final check up before he can go into the garden and beyond
Stan's in our bedroom today, I just peeped round the door to make sure he's ok and he's opened DH's wardrobe and is asleep on top of some boxes at the bottom :rotfl:
Meeting DD2 for lunch, she's treating me for my birthday:happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0 -
