Sorry to hear about your holiday miss c:o I was going to say that you'll be pleased to be home but maybe not with the news about your fish and a rat:eek::eek:

Thanks. I was very disappointed but not surprised about his behaviour. No more fish have died thankfully but we only have 5 left hopefully the medicine will work.

The rat didn't bother me as much as it did OH who has scrubbed the bathroom (1st time ever lol) and thoroughly cleaned out the pantry but more little poos this morning:eek: We lifted the flagstones in the toy room which joins up and it has a run under it. Not sure what we can do as its just dirt floor with flagstones (old house)

I need to get some metal tubs to keep things like pasta, rice and dried goods in. I did like to stock pile them but that was a mistake obviously.

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Super site. Have you been before? Lidls' is more or less across te road from there, their bread is excellent. If you like a good paella (not a packet mix ) Try Santa Anna, Carrer del Port, 46, 17258 L'Estartit, entrance to restaurant is in the main shopping street. Not an expensive place to eat.
Market at Torroella de Montgr! on a Monday is good, if you are hiring a car. Trip to Medes Illes is also good, if you like that sort of thing. Have fun.
Thanks for the tips. We are always regulars at Lidl when in Spain. I walk there for the bread and icecreams in the afternoon. love being free to come and go as we want and not tied to meal times and apartments. We have a car for the 2 weeks which works out well, Medes Illes sounds good, think we did the market last time, but it might just have been the local one.

Think long term. You never have to holiday with him again!

I know. He only 12 but really getting uncontrollable. He threw a hot cup of coffee in one of his strops all over white throws on the sofas.

I feel sorry for him, I think he's deeply unhappy but he hates me and won't accept anything I say.

I was planning Disneyland Paris next year but OH won't come to that so SS just misses out.

Just seen a woman clutching a chicken walking up the street :rotfl::rotfl:

So this is what civilisation is like!

There is house which sometimes the chickens get out front. Every time I see them I smile to myself and think Chicken Run :D
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
