Sorry I posted yesterday and had a massive tidy up and never got back on
Lady shopper glad you are some way to getting your garden sorted but it sounds like things still aren't right, I hope it will be what you had hoped for .
Qoc I am glad you are sorting your mum out and that she has you, so many people suffer because they have no one to fight their corner X
Thanks scamps I shall have a look
We made some tough desisions yesterday and after a year of being in our new house we have decided to put it up for sale....we have never really settled here and I have really tried , I spoke to a friend last night and she said she knew it was coming and said she knew I wasn't happy here cause I haven't put any of my pictures up on the wall
Oh so sorry to hear this.......or happy to hear this depending on how you feel ILTS.....there's only you can say and if it's not right for you, you are making the right decision. Have you got your eye on something else?To do is to be. Rousseau

We could have moved into the garage a couple of years ago, but our current house is near my mum and I have caring responsibilities... she is nearly ready for a home... so freedom (that is not meant to offend... we have had caring responsibilities for the last 30 years with dad and then mum!)
We still don't have external drains... or even doors!
He tends to get the majority of materials off the internet which takes ages. He now has everything he needs to put the underfloor heating in, when this is done the doors will go in - which will make us water tight. We had the first quote for ground source heat pump... £41,000 ex. VAT...:eek::eek::eek: Unless it comes down by 3/4 there is no way. I think they just saw a big house in a nice area... they missed the man in the middle of his mid life crisis with no income :rotfl::rotfl:
My tasks this week are to collect a heat exchange unit, and to return to collect the rest of the electric wire as there was too much to put in the car (OH said he has used the majority of what I collected).
Your roof terrace sounds fab, we have a little thingamabob that will need waterproofing/flooring (we have the stone to go around the edge (e-bay) and the glass for the balustrade (curtsy of a shop closing down and a friend who was in the know) we just need the metal frame.
I often think it would be lovely to have the money to just do the work, but then it would not feel like we have achieved an impossible task!
You will have to post some pictures when you can x
ooh... and I do use tesco gift cards as much as I can!
OH also getting AMAP off internet, freecycle or where ever is the cheapest. He haggles for everything. We have all sorts of light fittings, electric switches, tiles from cheap deals. Luckily he has 2 units with his business so has the room to store things.
My task this week is to go to wowrk & earn the £ to pay for it and decide what kind of front door I want (AGAIN - done this 3 times already but he has lost the brochure so need to do it again!). He has just gone to make a coffee then need to decide. I will take some pictures next time I am there & try and post them. Sure I have the instructions how to do this somewhere.
I never shop at tesco these days so very few points and save what I have for our RAC cover. Asda all the way with me. Wombles pay for a lot of my food shop to save the £ for the house & also do woopsies where I can and creatively meal plan around these.0 -

You need to pinch out the growing tips on the ends of the branches. This will encourage side shoots from the base of the leaves to grow and then they too will flower. They are also hungry plants due to the volume of flowers they produce so they need feeding. I feed mine twice a week with a tomato food or Miracle grow. A hungry plant will produce flowers but they will be a lot smaller and less brightly coloured. Hth
Afternoon all. Hope all are well. Flying visit from me as DH is taking me to Aldi soon. Still hobbling and unable to drive yet.:( Having physio now and they're planning to do acupuncture next week.

I knew it wasn't right within two weeks of living here but because of the expense of moving and everything we went through to get here I felt I had to love it and with everything that has gone on recently time has just disappeared and can't believe we have been here for just over a year . It's a shame I love the actual house just not where we are .
No nothing I have my eye on so I feel we might end up in rented until something comes up , a caravan in a field would make me happy thoughOne cannot change the past, but one can ruin the present by worrying over the future.0 -

Fab. I am looking for a really large door... I think the front door is the one thing I will not be scrimping on....I keep think really modern and then thinking something more traditional... if you see anything fab let me know. TIA x100 -
