    Any elite got any recommendation?

The gu's say no freezing and it's because the glass pots are not made to a freezing standard...having said that I've frozen things in them when they have been empty without a problem.

All to do do with food standards health and safety issues and the potential that the pots could crack when frozen and splinter the glass into the dessert.

silly me, i put one gu jar in the freezer to test.
i could have put the one i emptied :o straight away :o in there to test the glass

Glass is fine, I also have frozen them, but not empty, I have had jam in them.

Problem is that liquids expand as they freeze, water is at its largest volume at 4 degrees- so just above freezing. A glass container filled with something could break in the freezer (or as it defrosts) as the contents expand as they get cooler or warmer. So if there isn't enough room in the container to allow for the contents to expand there is the risk of the glass breaking.

So if you are testing, you need to test it filled.

That is very true....I've just checked mine too and they are the 2nd Sept...although I had to get all lemon ones as it was all that was left....but I'm looking on them as fruit intake so better for us than chocolate.

The lemon in the cheesecake counts as fruit??

    Afternoon all.

I have just noticed on Martin's email about the ppi claiming.

I have often wondered if Mortgage Payment Protection is the same thing as again it was something the bank talked us into and would not let us take on the mortgage without, don't know if anyone can advise please?

    tia

    I would think so.

Thank op for the pe & gu :T very pleased
Got my 5 last night, plenty as I will only use them for grandchildren.

But when it was still working today I offered to get 5 for a work colleague, looking through the pizza for the best dates, 6th August,8th August, 10th Aug, 01 August, double look and a little chuckle to myself "silly moo, you've read that backwards" looked again no 01 August, so was the one underneath. The one underneath that 31 July :eek: and two other.

Waited for a tesco worker and advised him he might want to remove the 5 pizza as they were slightly out of date. Very polite, I'm really sorry but thank you for pointing it out.
If I wasn't glitching I might have took it further.

Oh, the thing that MSE Jordan blogged about. Having presumably nicked the original glitch from here. ;)
