Rant alert - Why do some banks make life difficult and insist you go into branch to open accounts? Even when you are an existing, long standing customer and they have an extensive online account system . I thought I would add to my 1,2,3 as I haven't currently got a regular saver with S4ntander, nor has Mrs Anon ... but you have to apply by phone or go in branch. I hate with a passion talking to them to apply as they insist on reading out all sorts rather than taking the 2 seconds it takes to just open it (like I did with Ll0yds in less than a minute yesterday!).
So much for quickly sorting out accounts.
Rant over.
