Hi everyone,
Hoping you guy's might have some advice for me, i've just started a DMP with payplan and have been advised to cancel my loan insurance.
Not only will it bring the final figure down, but like i've been reading on here, it looks like this insurance is actually a waste of money for alot of people. i'm not sure who to address the letters to. would it be customer service or the collections department ?
Be very grateful for any advice on the matter.

i am in the process of claiming my ppi back as i feel i was wrongly sold it.
you can cancel it. whe i rang them they said it has to be in writing. could you ring them and ask who to send it too?0 -
In my situation with the Halifax, I've sent this to Customer Services who have, at least, advised that they will be 'looking into it'. It appears that at the time I signed up for PPI, I was ineligible as to claim you would need to be in full-time employment for at least 6 months. In recent years this has prevented me from claiming when the balance was as high as (gulp) £12K.
It's now down to £1,100 :-)Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Thanx guys for all your advice, have written the letter and sent them off, so fingers crossed they cancel, that should bring the final figure by loads:j0
