Just having a brew and snuggles with a poorly DS1! This does mean plans today were cancelled so money saved there. It's been a week of illness here.
I think when DP gets paid on 28th we will be out of the making ends meet between the two jobs. If he gets paid what I think he wil anyway. I feel like we've been a few £100's short of what we need for a few months and the food/petrol budget has been non existent. Just need to keep going until payday then I should be feeling a bit better about it all.
I have £110 in my pocket money bank and £16 in my purse. We may pop to a car boot Sunday and give DS1 some money for a few toys. I also want to get out and sort the garden a bit. Meant to have family over tomorrow but we will see if DS is well enough. So I have £30ish per week to play with. Which should be doable. I may need to pop £20 in the car to last until dp's payday.
The child benefit should be spare from next month so I'll start making a list of clothes and bits I want for DS and start on that then.
Dp popped to do an Aldi shop for me yesterday as this got forgotten due to all the sickness. He actually stuck to my list!! Something I wouldn't have done so I may send him more often! Meal plan done up until next week when we have family visiting as we don't know what the plans are yet.
Think that's all. Best try get DS1 in bed and carry on with the washing and cleaning mission created from him throwing up repeatedly last night.emergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Had to cancel our plans this weekend as we were all struck with a sickness bug! So money saved again but man am I bored!!!
I've had to sell the tickets I brought for DP for Christmas as DS2 still won't take a bottle
we have his mum coming to visit wed and Thursday so will probably use the money to get a take away as we were worrying where the money would come from for this.

Whoop soo long story short the local water people have been in the street today and I went to speech to them. Turns out the who estate is blocked up and they've given me a number to call to get my £330 refunded! Whoop!!!
The company I used still haven't sent the invoice through even though I've called several times so I'll call tomorrow and insist they stay on the phone until I receive this then call the water board to get it refunded.emergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Quick pop in no major spends everything non track....near enough anyway.
Just putting together an online food shop plus a list for DP to grab from Aldi.
Two more days until DP gets paid then we should have rided out the job change over and have everything back on track.....until the cats mot! 2we have it booked in for a health check Tuesday I'm exspecting the worst but hoping for the best.
The water company would only refund £150 of the £380 I spent. Grrr I emailed and asked for more but again not exspecting anything but thought no harm in asking.
Right best go bath the boys. Xemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Morning morning morning,
DP has been paid whoop whoop! Everything is now where ur should be and all accounts back to where they should be. I have a monster food shop coming later today along with the Aldi shop so did last night so the house is now full to the brim with food, cleaning products, toiletries, cat food and medicine. We live so far away from a supermarket I like to keep the house full. I should only need bread and milk until I get paid on the 15th and fil up the food and petrol account.
So took my car to work today for its health check. So I'll be awaiting that dreaded phone call with a price for mot repairs later. I doubt the £170 in the car fund will touch the sides.
Still waiting for the £150 back from the water board and an email to see if they'll refund any more.
My pocket money account is looking grim but I don't have too much planned a soft play date Friday then a meal out for my sisters birthday. It my mum has saved her Tesco vouchers up so hopefully it won't be too much. Any family days out will have the be paid for by DP until 15th
Payrol have said any extra mat pay owed will be accounted by the 6th and paid on the 15th. I'm trying to not get my hopes up but secretly hoping for a bit of a bonus next pay day. Fingers crossed.
DP's family were meant to come visit but had to cancel due to the storm. I wanted DP to have a chat face to face re the mortgage so that was annoying but he messaged and apparently things are still loving forward on this....we shall see it's not the first time he's tried to get them to free up his money and failed. We have our own family to think of now though so I'm pushing for it now. Any decent parent should understand that right?
Maternity clothes and a few of ds's bits on eBay. I should have really done a car boot but DS won't take a bottle so can't really leave him. I've decided that unless we win the lottery there will be no more babies for us!!
I've started comping thought the mse forum. I set up a new email and do them when I'm doing night feeds etc. I would always browse the bargain forums etc and end up spending money so this will keep me busy and you never know I may win something!
I think that's all the money thoughts that have been running around my brain. I'll check back later with the car verdit! Xemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Morning,
No price for the car yet but DP said the list looked long they are pricing it up Thursday for him. Luckily he gets a big discount as he works there now so we shall see Thursday. I think we will fix it though and try make it last another year we really don't want more debt and monthly payments when trying to pay debt off and save and improve our credit scores.
£100 paid back to the boys money. This takes debt below £6000 and also means we've cleared a 3rd of our debt!! :j:j:j It feels good!!!
DP's family are down today so we shall see what happens with the mortgage we really need dp's name off it asap plus our money so I'm hoping he makes that clear and I don't have to speak up and look like the nagging wife.
Were having pancakes for lunch as DP wasn't home for tea last night. I can't wait yum yum xemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

!!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! £800 ish to fix the car.....do we use this for a deposit on a newer one that'll save us a fortune in the long run. Our clutch has been slipping a while too so only a matter of time before another big garage bill. Will getting car finance drastically effect our chance of a mortgage? Is a car loan seen different by provides as it's an asset? Hummmm decisions xemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Wow £800 is a lot to fix a car.
Have you thought of leasing a car instead of buying one? You can get some good deals, we pay £129 a month for ours.0
