Just a quick question - does anybody know of a good, reliable company which does good quality laptops for quite cheap?

Hey guys - thanks for the quick response!

So, dell is the best.... the only thing that really put me off big style about them was it seemed to be run entirely by people from different countries - and dont get me wrong, I am in no way racist, but you know if I have a techincal problem, I would like to talk to somebody in my own country about it - I hope that isnt too cheeky. Also, when I rang dell, and said that I didnt want to purchase that day, the guy asked me why not, and why did I ring up and all this - and when I hang up on him for being so rude, he rang me back and kept the line open until I said something!

So my first impressions of dell were not good - although I have heard alot of good reports about them

ajwt22 - can I ask how much you payed for your laptop.

I agree with Browntoa about Dell.

Also, I have found them excellent when sorting out technical problems for me, they even replaced my laptop when it wouldnt work even tho it was out of warranty

Hey mountainchrisriver,

I am very very tempted, and up until a month ago I was going too - but they are very expensive and I am only wanting a basic laptop for wireless internet. Although I probably will get a MacBook in the future.

Have a look at this lot - they are based in Guildford (where I live) and I have used them a lot - stuff is either new, or factory refurbished and I haven't been dissappointed (yet!)
