time taken to get transcript of Home Report

after submitting an application for a mortgage I had to get (ask the sellers/EA) a refresh done on the home report as it was over 12 weeks old

speaking to Nationwide today they say they received the refreshed report beginning of last week and are waiting for Countrywide to do the transcription, but because they are a 3rd party company (Countrywide) they could not give a time scale

is this normal?
what can you say when someone says 'we can't give you a timescale'?
they only took a day to come back and tell me the original was 'out of date' which makes me think the refreshed one is stuck in a queue or something and needs something done to move it along

what a headache - I guess with countrywide being a national firm it will depend very much upon what area you are in. Is it affecting your completion deadline?

Did you pay for the valuation or was it a free one? How long has the process taken from the start until now

it's Scotland so is the pre-sale Home Report - the sellers or their EA paid for the refreshed home report
application submitted just over 2 weeks ago online - there was a problem with them verifying my payslips at the wrong amount which flagged up a problem with affordability but that has now been sorted
also...because of the affordability decline I can no longer access it on the website and have to phone to track any progress

'we can't give you a timescale' = Don't know, cant be bothered to find out.

3 working days to run a new transcript on a HR to suit the Lender should be more than adequate.

You could call Countrywide and chase them.

phoned Countrywide - said they hadn't received the refreshed report
phoned back Nationwide (without mentioning I had phoned CW) got someone different who now say Countrywide haven't received the refreshed home report so they need to put in a service request (as they can't send the HR directly, I have a copy of it here!) which can take up to 4 days, so they can then do the transcript

arghhhhhh! will a Mortgage Advisor be able to deal with this even tho I'm halfway through an application started online?

Did you apply direct to Lender online?

I suspect the situation is manageable from the mortgage side.

Good job you established what is really going on.

    applied online with Nationwide yupp

but they verified the amount on my payslips almost 4k under my basic pay which caused a problem with affordability, that has been sorted out now after spelling it out in emails but I can no longer access/track any info online - I need to phone to find out anything

I actually got an email on Monday asking for payslips, even tho i had sent them twice already - when I phoned about that I was told that was them verifying the payslips (proper amount this time) and the email was an error - I expect they had to do that to allow their system to go to the next stage or something

sorry, what do you mean manageable from mortgage side?

I did mean they should be able to deal with the Home Report delay.

What you are now telling me suggests it may be a frustrating road ahead with that level of service.
