I am trying to sell my beautiful wedding dress - its pronuptia Rita dress, size 10/12 with shawl - live in hull and trying to sell it locally and on ebay and on a few free ad sites - but no luck - this dress is absolutely beautiful so cant understand why i cant sell it, i bought for 850 and want to sell for about 300 - bargain i think as its still in the shops and only bought last year - and of cause only worn once!!!!

can anyone give me tips on selling wedding dresses - there might be a good site that i am unaware off - or any one interested in a wedding dress!!!!

Unfortunately as you have found to your cost second hand wedding dresses rarely make anywhere near the original price. Local ads might be worth persevering with as you are likely to get a better price if the dress can be seen. Incidentally a Google search suggests that 'Rita' is now £675 which will make a second hand one even cheaper http://www.pronuptia.co.uk/rita.htm

Ebay is probably no good at all, I've ust done a quick search and there are pronuptia dresses going for as little as £15 which is terrible...

Otherwise maybe there is a wedding type forum with small ads where you may get a better price, try doing a google search to see if anything turns up.
