What health issues do you have ? I'd stick with the painkillers/anti inflammatories if it's arthritis.

My Mum wanted one for her birthday, so I bought her a large one. It's a whopping 10kgs! She reckons it will clean the air of pollutants, like pollen, dust etc, a bit like an Ioniser (which she had years ago.) And put negative ions back into the house.

In truth, I have no idea if it does any of those things - but it has a pretty pink glow when it's on and she's very happy with it. That's all I know!

It looks like a well packaged way to spend money without any seriously documented health benefits.
If you want to buy a pretty lamp, by all means do, but "for health reasons" spend the money on a nutritionist, or physiotherapist.

I love the warm orange glow of my salt lamp.. I couldn't be without it, but I don't know about the health claims
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)

    There are cheaper placebos.
There is no evidence it does what is claimed.

My mum has one, it's very pretty but I can't imagine how it could benefit anyone's health, unless you lick it occasionally to keep your salt levels up.
