I've seen a lot of threads from people just starting a DMP or IVA who can't see the light at the end of the tunnel... I just had a little flash of how better things will get as we go along.
When we started our DMP I had to get a parachute account and I used Alliance & Leicester - but only had an Electron card. Now I never plan to have credit cards again but it was really hard managing without a switch/debit card as it means I have to transfer money to OH and he pays for shopping/petrol etc. Lots of places take Electron but it is definitely hit and miss.
I got a letter yesterday to say I have been upgraded from Electron to Visa debit card and it's on its way - Hurrah :j
Just a little bit of positivity for all you who are struggling! We didn't get into debt instantly and we won't get out of it overnight.
