Rundles: Liars and Cowboys

Options
So this is my 2nd jaunt with Rundles (Hooray!). Now I have no issues with the debt or repayments but I am concerned with, is the way Rundles operates and I am interested in anybody else's stories involving this unhelpful company.

The first time with Rundles, I was going to struggle really badly with repayments. I spoke to the agent and they were very forceful, unhelpful and stated the Enforcment Officer would have to attend. Anyway long story short they said they would get the Enforcement Officer to call me. After 2 weeks still no call, not even a voicemessage. Anyway I had no choice and started making repayments at the minimum they were asking for. Cut to 4 months later (2nd Dec 2015) and the Mr Enforcement Officer rolls up and slaps an extra £250 on top of the debt all because I apparently paid 1 day late at the beginning of the agreement. I didn't even receive a letter about this or an intent to visit letter! To say I was gobsmack was an understatement. Despite this, the officer was reasonable and we were able to come to an agreement.

Fast forward 6 months and after a bizarre turn of events, I have the wonderful pleasure of speaking to Rundles again. This time I want to speak to Mr Enforcement Office straight away. Nope they can't do this (despite offering to get him to ring me last time?! I've even read another thread on MSE where this option was offerd to another person), reason: it hasn't gone to the Enforment Officer yet. So I question this. The agent (Christine, I think) gets fed up with my questions and passes me on to her manager, Alex. After a lengthy debate, Alex states that there is no record on my case notes stating the agent, from my first case, even offered/asked the Enforcement Offer to call me and that Rundles are not obligated to send out an intent to visit letter as (still referring to the 1st case) I had received a letter on 28th July 2015!

As a side note I do have a recording of my conversation with Rundles for me to refer back to. I did inform Alex that I was recording the conversation.

If someone can explain to me what Rundles can/cannot do and what they have to do by law, it will be greatly appreciated, but as I said earlier I am interest to hear of other people's stories involving Rundles.

Thanks for reading this far.

    Hi MoneyPanda

Sorry I can't help you directly as I've no experience with Rundles, but I think what they can and can't do depends what their instruction is, e.g. Ccj, DCA, high court enforcement etc.

I found the information on the stepchange website about what rights collection and enforcement agents have quite useful to read, but I've no idea how accurate or up to date it is.
