Uk Pensions for Irish Person

Hi everyone - I wonder if you can help! I work in the UK for a Company who does not offer a Pension. I pay National Insurance on a monthly basis to the UK, however Resident in Ireland. I commute back and forward for work as I work for an airline.
Could any one please explain how I would go about a pension as if I am to take one out in Ireland where I live I am not entitled to Tax Relief on it as I work for a UK based company. basically, is there anyway I can get an Irish Pension in the Country I live and still get tax relief on it. I would like to eventually return to Ireland to work full time in a few years so any recommendations on any pensions that are immediately transferable would be great.
Any help with this would be so appreciated as it's all new to me.
Sincere thanks

Don't know the answer to your question cal, though it's a pretty interesting one and I hope someone can answer.
What I do know is that you shouldn't include your email address in posts as you'll likely get spammed mercilessly - if I was you I'd edit it out soonest.
There is a private message system - look at the top of the page - if you want to contact individuals directly or you can include your email addy in your profile.0 -

The first line of your second paragraph is a bit confusing. It reads that you would still be working in the UK when you apply to have your Irish pension. What I mean is, would you be entitled to start receiving your Irish pension at the age you are thinking of. How old are you now? I imagine that the Irish system is similar to ours with regard to income tax on retirement in that you pay tax if your total income in the year is over the allowance for your age.
The main thing is your domicile and you have said it is Ireland. Therefore you will entitled to an Irish pension at the age pensions start there and, as far as I can see, you must be entitled to something from the UK system if you have made contributions here for some time. Perhaps, both countries being in the EC, the contributions are added together to arrive at your pension amount. I'm sort of thinking aloud here so, to get a definitive answer you should ask the Works & Pensions dept., here and in Ireland too.
My brother in law and family went to live in Australia and I remember him coming back to southern Ireland where he had lived for about 20 years to sort out his pension. He gets an Australian one too I believe. You may even be pointed in the right difection if you email the Works & Pensions department on line. http://www.dwp.gov.uk/0 -
