I'm still in a bit of an unsatisfactory state on M Cat Milk and not sure what the pricing now is - to be fair this isn't the fault of stores not displaying correct pricing if the mbuy really has ended, as there therefore shouldn't be any stores displaying one. I've reached the conclusion that they are probably no longer on mbuy. However, I'm trying to avoid someone coming on with an M that is displaying some different mbuy to the old 3 for £1.50 one (or maybe they are still on that who knows?:rotfl:) and telling me that I'm wrong when, if you see that mbuy displaying in your M, you need to imagine me struggling around from afar with four stores and none of them now with any mbuy on the shelves.

If the mbuy has ended, then of course none should be showing one - so I may be just creating this matter for myself as that is the real price situation. I had three stores with no mbuy on the display now. However, I've had two or three stores showing no mbuy before at times when the mbuy was on and was checked at the till and shown to be on. I also had the same three yesterday with no mbuys on the Savers Tomato tins - which are on mbuy, as confirmed at the third store - and you'll be pleased to hear that my remaining two stores both showed the mbuys on those. However, the fourth store - no mbuy on Cat Milk again:(.

I think some of these stores, at least, were showing an mbuy on the Cat Milk previously though:think:. So I reckon the mbuy has ended. The problem was that there was another pets item last night (Wednesday), in the fourth store, that had clearly wrong price showing so I can't be confident that the pets aisle has had its SELs changed properly and I'm not confident that the mbuy has been put on in the first place when it was on before yesterday. It therefore might still be on, if the others are wrong. There was no stock of the Cat Milk at all in this fourth store, so I couldn't even have checked it at the till if I'd wanted to. I went to the fifth store - the only one I could make it to by closing time - and :(managed to pick a store that had no M Cat Milk at all. No trace.

You might have thought why didn't you check at the till whether an mbuy was on? However, I could have scanned 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or however many times they might want us to buy their Cat Milk now for any mbuy and I'd already checked other items and the time I now had left before needing to go out etc.

So, the results from the SELs of the five stores for M Cat Milk are: 52p, 52p, 52p, 52p and N/A. I'm going to have to go with straight 52p price and conclude I think the mbuy is off. However, it could appear again or I may visit other stores later and find there is an mbuy still on and I wouldn't be surprised if I did that and that was to happen. However, I'll cross it out for now, aware of the possibility that that might be wrong, but, I suppose, if their stores can't give me a correct price on the shelf, should it still be on mbuy, then I can't be including it on my list for people, potentially, to buy. In the end, I am now 60% sure that the mbuy has ended. However, you can see how I feel with such a significant amount of doubt. I just can't trust that four stores may be right and the possibility is that they may all be wrong:rotfl:. I think the mbuy is off. Maybe it is, maybe not?!?:rotfl::rotfl:

It may be being removed from the list, only in order to be reinstated in a few days' time when I find it is still on, or back on again.

Apart from Cat Milk, I'm fine. I've even managed to decipher my handwriting:j that I couldn't read on Tuesday on a product that I've searched in vain for yesterday, so couldn't find what it is really called from the stores now. Don't worry - it's a "buy in M" item and not one of concern for APG if I can't find it.

But, trying to find items and trying to work out their prices... the frustration, the excitement (way beyond what it should be:o:rotfl:) and the laughter.

The frustration was the usual - in this case the Oreo Cookies showing £1.91 full price in my first store (after I wrongly concluded they were that from my 6 stores on Monday) but fortunately that was sorted out at my second store. (I never know if prices have suddenly gone up and offers been pulled early even if they are still showing online as on until next month.) I've another £1 store on these, with unchanged SEL showing £1 until 17th July, so, despite the one store apparently going to £1.91, I think they are still on offer. I haven't bothered with all five stores on these today - not least because of limited time, but I'm fairly confident:eek: about their real price. I think they're still £1. (Watch someone try them in M and find they have gone up to £1.91:rotfl:.)

However, I wouldn't suggest buying them anymore - not least because they are now hopeless £1 in A:(, so they now give little APG back even if they work - and the possibility, with five stores I've seen (across Monday and Wednesday's 11) showing £1.91, that the APG might go £1 vs £1.91. If there are a lot more Ms showing £1.91, then there certainly could be a chance of a majority of stores being found showing that - as I, indeed, had on Monday. I could have been unlucky on my stores though.

:rotfl:Now there we are, you see - I've got "until 17th July" displayed in store but msm says 10th July. So not even clear on that. Maybe the reason some stores have changed to £1.91 is because the offer has been extended for another week and so they've reverted to full price SELs whilst they print off a new offer label? I don't know if that's how it works, but it could be an explanation.

The Glaceau Smartwater that was in Burton with extended offer 2 for 90p until 24th July is showing in one of my stores on Wednesday with the same pricing until 26th June. I don't know how that works with different things showing in different stores.

The excitement was at finding Lockerbie Cheddar in my second store. (At that stage, I was going to be visiting only two stores, so really had to find it - it not being in my first store.) Saved, yet again, by the second store. This is just one of those items, that I usually find initially at some far-away place, that I then think I've never going to find at any of my local Ms. They also saved me on the 24 White Baps that the first didn't have - and I felt I might never find them and not be able to find a store with them at all (bearing in mind bakery items tend to disappear later in the day). No SEL as such in my store (unlike the one on Monday) but the price was marked on the packs - a situation which is good enough for me:T. Particularly as it's consistent with the other store's price:rotfl: - woohoo!

The laughter was at the Tuna Paste Bake, absent from my first store, turning out to be the only item without a SEL on its shelf in the second store. I wasn't too bothered about that - by this time, I'll still got time to call on a third store (thank goodness I have stores that are not far away from each other). I also had another item I was looking - not been at the first store as far as I know - turn out to be the item without the SEL in the next store.

I think the 1Kg 'fresh' sausages have gone up in price. Unless there is newer stock on a new BC that is now more expensive - but I reckon will now pick up new higher price. There was no SEL on the stock now in my first store. It was a good job, initially, that I had them checked at the till to find that this stock scanned at a higher price as I got to my second store, to see if that really was that price, to find that the store had none of the product at all:rotfl:. And there it would have ended - okay with the higher price from the first store (checked at till) anyway but would just have liked more confirmation. It was originally going to be just the two stores, so could have ended like that. However, I did find them in my fifth store - complete with no SEL:rotfl:. I've think they've gone up. They've removed the £2 SELs and haven't got a SEL yet because they've gone up in price. I think.

[Checks msm. Yep, £2.57 - consistent with what I've now got. So, the 1Kg 'fresh' sausages Avs M are off as well - apologies for not thinking about them before.]

I found plenty of Maynard's Sports Mixture cartons in the second store - in two different places. One place in the store with full price £2 SEL and the other set of stock had no SEL around it at all:rotfl:. Believed still to be 50p (I did not check!). A little disappointed now at finding them all in the M that is the nearest one to me after travelling miles out on Monday to pick up a carton of them then:rotfl:. However, no money wasted - I was out for other reasons so happened to be at that other place anyway.

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/20-pink-lady-apples-only-2-00-iceland-2464688

I thanked your post earlier when you were trying to find the information but can't thank it again now you've found it and edited your post.

That is indeed good - albeit paying £2 more than I would have done before:rotfl:. (I wouldn't have bought those apples at all had they not been £2.)

I have enough apples still around from a previous offer elsewhere, when I perhaps bought maybe a little too many (but they are lasting now the offer is off, so I did right). I was maybe going to add a few more to them and going to look around - I notice T currently not playing ball with no 75p, or even 69p, apples now so the Iceland one could well be a good option in this time of spa**e offers on apples.:T (That was me just playing around there - if the censors elsewhere alter things, I like to play around and make it seem like a more naughty meaning:D;):rotfl:.)

I like Pink Lady apples too - although these days I don't buy them very often, because they are usually so flippin' expensive!:rotfl:

So I will come back with the M list update later (got 2 sides of A4 paper to go through this time as opposed to 6 sides I had on Monday:eek:). I will probably post about how some of my notes currently on the M list are changing.

For now I'll leave you with a few more RTCs I've found:

Airwick Mum's Baking Single Electrical Refill (17ml) 50p RTC
(I'm sure there's a separate Airwick around that also went onto RTC like this one was, worse RTC price until now, but the other product has already vanished from my stores. There will be another one somewhere - can't remember what it was called: wasn't Mum's Baking - unless they turn up as being already somewhere on my list at higher RTC price:rotfl::eek::rotfl:). Has anyone still got the "After Tobacco" product and that other Airwick that may be in close proximity on the buy in M list? Have they gone down too?

Autocare Tmy 207 Sidelight (twin pack) 10p RTC

Galbani Mascapone [Mozzarella] (250g) £1 RTC
I did have a chuckle at the other store (obviously I just happened to visit it later, for me to know this) that had a much lower weight version on £1 offer, whilst the 250g version next to it is still showing £2.15 price there! I assume this RTC is available across stores and that the "£2.15" product is £1 (which I'll put onto Avs M:eek::rotfl: as it's available in A). I do not believe this to be store-specific. From my experience, it is the type of SEL (in the other store, where it's showing RTC) that indicates an "across-stores" price. It is, at least, going to be available in more than one M (even if I've caught it right on the changeover of its price (maybe I have, maybe not, I can't know from this when it changed) - so, if I've caught the one store that has been quite quick on this and changed its SEL (though I'm sure, out of 500, there must be more), it might not be picked up just yet - and :(probably be all gone over the weekend in stores that put it onto the SEL and then never picked up... unless one of theirs changes only by the time they check on Monday... might be random on the APG?).

There is some Dolmio Creamy Tomato 551g (weight from memory:rotfl:) around - there are lots of packs in two of my stores, all OOD with BB 13th June on them:rotfl: - as the SELs in both say £3.45:rotfl::rotfl:. So, they are still available in M, presumably at £1, although only if you want OOD packs it seems. There may be some in date in A - however I think it very unlikely to pick up M at £1 as they will most probably have gone from all "£1.00" SEL stores and SELs removed and I'm now finding them in stores with full price. I have £3.45 twice and N/A in my three others today. On Monday, I drew a complete blank in six other stores. They're around - they shouldn't be, but it's obviously not an item that staff would be going through the shelves thinking may have expired - and still in M. More fool them for not changing the SELs as the stock will now have to be thrown away:(. However, I think what may happen is that someone will buy them, thinking they are £3.45, and get a surprise when they turn out to be £1* and then get home and find they are OOD.

On this occasion, I didn't interfere. I suppose I could have told a member of staff to get them removed, but there's only so much I can do and I can't be spending time, finding a member of staff, trying to attract their attention, and doing that on every occasion. If people buy stock that's OOD, it serves as a reminder that we should all be checking before we buy stuff.

Anyway, those three RTCs near the start of this post:rotfl:.

    See you later:wave:.

*Probably, as I didn't scan them - I've done that no fewer than three separate occasions, just in case they'd gone back up, and each time they've turned out to be £1.

Oh - finally a correction - the Mediterreanean Vegetables (from which A's Herby Tomato Vegetables compare) have not actually gone up in price. What has happened is that new stock on a new BC has been brought in, that is £1.47. Old stock was (is?) £1, as has long been the case for several months. However, I was finding no old stock on Monday and didn't see any yesterday. Given that this is a 'fresh' item with a relatively short date, I reckon the old stock has gone and this will be picking up £1.47 price for M now as that's the only priced stock I can now find.

But, just to clarify, contrary to what my list currently states, there has not been a significant price increase at all. It is a completely different product of identical name and most probably identical ingredients, identical in every respect probably except BC and price, but, as the BC is different, it's therefore a different item and it's merely a case of the old £1 stock becoming completely unavailable whilst £1.47 now being (or becoming - or having becomie) the only stock available so that, in effect, the price has increased.

I also notice that there are two different 335g Broccolis at the moment - different BCs, although each of them is at 60p:eek:! 60p! M quite expensive place at the moment on this sort of item.

Or, more accurately, one BC is 60p and the other is £0.60. Which, of course, is the same price anyway:rotfl:. I don't know whether the 60p is older stock or newer, and whether they are moving from 60p to £0.60 or from £0.60 to 60p. One had expiry dates of 18 and 19 June, whilst the other had an expiry date of 18 June, so it's hard to tell which is which. And, of course, is of no real relevance or matter:rotfl::rotfl:. But just that there are two BCs, for no apparent reason (both have pricing marked on them, so it's not as if there's going to be a change of price from that).

The Beansprouts have also done a change from packs that have 54p price on them to packs that have no price (I assume different BCs - found in different stores and since there's no apparent change in price, not significant enough to check). But it may be some Ms are losing SELs with the price marked on them again and thus not providing a price - even though, last time it went through this stage, they remained at 54p throughout as usual as far as I ever knew.

I don't think that the 750g SP Bran Flakes' M price is likely to drop off the APG just yet. I'm still seeing 88p SELs for 750g around - even though the product is now gone from some Ms, but I can confirm it is still in stock and available in two of my stores from the five (they've yet to receive 500g version it seems).

It does seem M is changing pack size - some of my stores that previously had 750g now have 500g. One has 57p price for 500g, the other has 88p SEL for 750g product that is not in stock there. However, they have not been OOS for too long just yet, so should still be okay.

Those 88p SELs could keep on for a bit in various stores - depending on how long the 750g stock still in some stores lasts. The 88p SEL could even, in a very small number of stores, last for six months more or even indefinitely:rotfl:. One of my stores, when there was a pack change on the Savers Chicken Nuggets (frozen), which brought them into the same weight as the A product:) (as opposed to these Bran Flakes moving away from it:() - one of my Ms still had the price for the old pack of Chicken Nuggets on the shelves. It remained there, unchanged, for over six months until only about three weeks ago, when there was a change in the freezers and stock moved around (something that also happened in several other Ms at around the same time) and now, finally, at that time, it's had the 72p price on!:T:rotfl:

So, for over six months, the SEL was unchanged when a new pack size came in (and I never saw the old one throughout that time) and, every week for over six months, that was a carryover item from that store to the next:(:rotfl::rotfl:. I think I was alright though - I knew Savers Chicken Nuggets anyway and that the old 90p price (for the older pack size now never stocked) would always mean 72p on the 'new' pack size, as they never changed in price - and of course I did see them at that price whenever I looked in the second store!:)

    Bye for now:wave::wave:.
