When it is A I think we are less likely to get any matching errors in our favour, as the receipt shows the barcode. However, for T (Old Mout as an example) they are sometimes inconsistent with how they describe items so it may be (as an example, but not checked) that Old Mout 4 pack and Old Mout bottle both appear on the receipt as Old Mout, so they cannot tell the difference and process anyway .

True. My brother bought some Amstell 12 pack from T's . I put it through COS anyhow even though that was buy 4 cans and I still got a £1 back

Just to confirm that I bought the Perfect Shake "Fish" and "Garlic Italian" today and as well as the glitch COS have just given me £1.58 cashback.
