Mortgage for Polar Wall (ICF)

Hello, hope someone can help. I am trying to source a buy-to-let mortgage for a 4 year old apartment that is built using Polarwall (ICF) construction. All housebuilding forums and websites state that it is approved by mortgage lenders and classed as standard construction, however, my usual first port of call for mortgages has just called to say they would not lend against it. I am at a loss now about where to go - anyone else had this situation and did it get resolved? I am interested in using Virgin for the mortgage now perhaps and was told yesterday that that type of construction is not on their banned list but am concerned that further along the line it may get rejected. Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

You may need specialist help, there are a number of non high street mortgage lenders with competitive rates that would consider it, but without know the full details of your application I am unable to say which. If you state the type of construction on the mortgage application, an underwriter will look at it prior to instructing a valuation. if its not one the lender you are using will accept the application will be thrown out during the initial checking process, before a valuation is instructed (usually).
