Question about remortgaging with Halifax and address on payslip

Hi All,

I am in the process of remortgaging with Halifax (existing customer, switching deals) and everything is fine with regards to my income, outgoings, credit rating, etc.

However, I need to provide payslips (which I have) but they're addressed to my previous property because when I started the job I was living with parents for two months. In addition, between then and now, I have done some building work on the house which meant I moved out.

Does anyone know if this would pose a problem in getting the mortgage switched?]

Many Thanks

Why are they asking for payslips? Are you changing the term, or raising extra. It part of the mortgage interest only, or running past age 65?

    Hi

The term is being risen and changing to repayment.

Then, if they do pick up on the address I would expect them to do no more than ask for clarification.

And they'd do searches on the other address to see if any credit information is revealed

Just to add, the term is still below retirement age.

I will be giving photocopies of my payslips as they're online only but only go back so far so I only have the copies I print out every month (which I did for another purpose). I could photocopy them and leave out the address altogether (but still have my name and national insurance no), would this usually be fine with a bank?

When I worked at the Halifax, photocopies weren't acceptable.

I don't know what their current stance is - but if something is blocked out and looks like it's obviously hidden, it'll most likely be queried.

Something hidden suggests there's something to hide, so it would raise questions

Ok thanks GoldieGirl, I will just provide what's required and go from there.
