Credit File Question

Some items appeared on my noodle report today.
1 A car loan has finally appeared - I am fine with this as its all up to date but they have caused address to be linked which I never lived at. (when I updated my address a while ago they had the wrong address listed, its correct now) I filed a dispute on the site to get it removed. Is that all I need to do?
2. There are a lot of payday loans, I did use them at one point and paid all back apart from one which I don't remember (it might have been me but it was 2013 (taken out just as I moved out of the flat) and I had used a lot of them) The date of birth on the file is wrong - and its showing as a default in 2014. Is there anything I can do to get this removed or just have to live with it?
Edit or 2a: Its still showing as an open account. Is that correct?
3. Barclays closed my account after accepting me. the account was closed on 25th April but is still showing on my file. Is it worth contracting them - I did a SAR for my CIFAS and there is a record relating to the address mentioned in No 2 but its not showing on my noodle report. Would contacting them cause me problems to have the account showing as closed?

Hi David,
I will answer as best purely from experience over the years rather than a professional capacity.
1. This should be relatively straightforward to have amended. Go through Noddle, who will in-turn speak to the company (or should do).
2. All Noddle will say is you need to dispute this with the payday loan company. If they agree to have it removed that's cool. If you go through Noddle in the first instance they'll likely say speak to the original company (or debt collection agency), or speak to them on your behalf. Either way you'll more than likely be told to communicate directly. If they do agree, make sure you save anything they send inn writing as proof.
2a) If it's defaulted, it's usually closed eventually, but not straight away. If it's from 2013 it's unlikely it's still active.
3. This will stay on your credit file for six years unless there's a reason it shouldn't be there. Why was it closed by them?
Hope this helps. Bear in mind, even if something is showing on Noddle it may not be on other agencies such as Experian. If you have something amended it's worth checking all other agencies (Experian/Call Credit/Equifax etc) and making sure they have the updated info from lenders etc too (you can get a statutory report from each for about 2 pound). Bearing in mind Noddle is free to use, I'm not 100% sure what their service will be like. I am with Noddle and Experian. Experian's customer service is exceptional, but i pay them 15 quid (just noticed my pound key isn't working...) a month...
Finally, your credit score itself isn't worth all the hype so don't let this get you down. It's what's help on your file that matters most. I know you're not disputing this, but just a misconception often held.0 -
Hi David Trex
Nothing really to add r credit file, but if you really think the pdl from 2013 may not be you, probably worth contacting the company for verification, or do you not want to contact them in case they come after you for repayments?
Likelihood is that someone will try to catch up with you for it at some point, so maybe consider sorting it out since they clearly want to assign it to you.
