With all due respect, a lot of people come here for "one off" advice and once their particular question is answered, what is the need to come back?
I understand that there are regular users here who post hundreds and even thousands of times but for a lot of people, they simply want an answer to a question and that's it - they don't (for whatever reason) want or need to keep coming back here and updating every post or thread.
Surely that's the whole idea of a forum? People pop in and out and share their own personal questions / answers / stories - whatever it may be.
Personally I don't think that chastising people for not regularly updating is really fair.
I see what you're saying but Soolin is right, with these 'how do I make money threads' in particular people join, say how do I make money, then never come back to the thread. If we had more details and information about their situation we might actually be able to help them and suggest a few ideas but it's a very common question from people with no other posts and who never come back and reply (or most likely even read the thread)
Usually, even with the repetitive of this question if the person comes back with more direct questions and information people do help.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
The thing is, that if someone was serious about wanting to make money, then they would READ these forums and guides. ALL of the information you could ever need or want is here. It's typical of the society we live in to expect other people to spoon feed you. Those that want to make money, use their time to research and learn. And that is truly the only way anyone will ever make a good go at this. That is why people resent those that pop up practically every day, asking the same question. For which of course, there is no quick answer and what works for one, will not necessarily work for another. Which is why it is pointless of them to ask! Which brings us full circle, as to why they should READ these forums in the first place.Minimalist

Well said wizzbang nothing wrong with wanting a little help but too many want led by the hand . The whole of the internet has useful information on how to build an online income, people need to remember there are no get rich quick schemes just as much effort is needed to build a passive income as most normal work .0

I agree, Jon.
I also think this is such a massive site and forum, with such a huge amount of information, that it can be rather outfacing as a newbie and difficult to know where to start. I think sometimes people just like a pointer or two so they can cut to the chase.0 -

Sorry I have to say, that given the context of the post I don't think he was spamming but simply a new person on this forum, interested in the free things and not understanding how it worked. I do think this was a bit to far.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
