Kayaking

I saw a couple of people at thebeach yesterday on a sot on top Kayak and iit looked like great fun! Iv'e had a quick look around the net and they seem to start from about £300 you then need a paddle and life jacket too which bumps the price up by about another £50 making it quite an expensive hobby if I decided to take it up.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good bundle packs they might have seen anywhere. I've also had a quick look on ebay and didn't really see an awful lot.

Perhaps I should try to find a local Kayaking club to see if i like it! ? :-s

Foggie, like you I can remember being at my local lough and seeing a group of people kayaking. I was a tad younger at the time, but as I was also interested, I approached them when they were reloading their kayaks onto their trailer to enquire about how they began. It eventually transpired that they were a local club, and had recently bought new kayaks, and were happy to sell on their older ones. I got two for about sixty quid, with a paddle and spray cover thrown in for nowt!! A few repairs, and they lasted me for several years without any problems!! Defo a good(and cheap) way to take up the sport!!
