Travelling in retirement

In two and a half years I'll be able to draw a UK state pension. I'm considering travelling in retirement, maybe staying for periods of up to a year in some countries, such as Greece. Is there any reason that I wouldn't be able to get my pension paid into a UK bank account and use an accommodation address (or even my mother's) for communication and so, for all effective purposes, be resident in the UK no matter where I am geographically?

We did it for 17yrs (On yacht in the Med) Was not on a pension at the time though.
Friends (on UK pensions) have lived on a river boat in France for the past 10 yrs, worrying a bit about Brexit now.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
No problems with using your mother's address BUT you have to be domiciled somewhere. In other words if you say you are living with mother you will be subject to UK taxes. We travel a great deal to be out of the winter weather but are domiciled and pay tax in the UK.0
